  • I am on week 6 of the NHS couch 2 5k podcast - and it is brilliant, it has loads of great hints and has been written really well so just as I am flagging Laura pops up with some motivation to keep me going! The music is really good too, a nice mixture of different types.
  • doing the NHS one and loving it! Got to Week 4 day 1, but havent been able to get out for the last couple of weeks because of colds and my littlest with chicken pox. I have been wearing my HRM and what is really noticable is that by day 3 of each week my heart rate is lower so it is clearly improving my fitness levels as…
  • I work in corporate finance and it largely depends on what department you would be working in, but in the main I would say yes err on the side of caution and wear the tights unless you would feel uncomfortable and fidget then I would go with trousers. Having been the interviewer on numerous occasions - it is something that…
  • get a second opinion. Orlistat worked for me because I was too scared to eat anything after I had to replace my mattress. (and I am very grateful I didnt have to replace my husband too!) BUT - I put it all back on and more because it wasnt a lifestyle change. MFP is working so much better for me because it is teaching me…

  • I have a similar problem, and when you are out with clients it is really difficult. For me choice is everything - it is unusual to find a restaurant that doesnt do salad, and although I have a glass of wine I will always try to drink loads and loads of water then sip the wine. It is so much easier to say no to a top up…
  • No more trouble zones for me!
  • My soon to be 11 year old loves 'helping' me get fit by playing games with me - chasing me in the park, beating me at tennis on the wii etc. He also started playing football every week with a team and has made some great friends there. Is the school aware that he is being teased about his weight? My son was (although he is…
  • I love mine! only cost £10 and are the most comfortable pair of trainers I have ever worn! Did notice a difference initially when my only walking was exercise but now I am down the gym I dont think they replace the elliptical or squats!
  • John West do 'light' tuna lunch pots that dont need to be kept cold, and I am sure that there are other ones out there. What about tinned mushrooms/ other veg. Do you know what the boys will be eating? There may be some of that you could have
  • Jillian is hard. I decided to work my fitness levels up using ea sports and the gym before trying it, but I am obese. As other people have said you can do as much of it as you can and it will get easier you just need to keep trying and pushing yourself. I call her every name under the sun whilst doing it but I have really…
  • you look stunning - well done and thank you for the motivation x
  • Anti depressants do work for anxiety, and I have used them for that, but got to the point where I wanted to be a bit more in control. I have been using Mindfullness therapy which is really helping and which you can do on your own without needing to see a therapist or a doctor. Hope you find some peace x

  • green tea with pomegrante during the day and camomile with honey and vanilla before bed :drinker:
  • You just have to keep on looking after yourself. Mine is exactly the same, and smokes too. BUT - he has started to notice the difference in how I look and feel and yesterday actually said that he thought he might try the 30 day workout programme I am on. I cant change him - but I can make sure that I am setting a positive…

  • Tried orlistat/alli ( gp prescription) and had to buy new mattress thanks to the Erm leakage. It did work but I think mainly because I was too scared to eat anything with fat in it. Actually losing more just with calorie control and exercise and feeling so much better for it!
