Incredible! Thank you for sharing your story..You give me hope. I started at 302 and I'm only down 13 lbs. Thanks for the inspiration!

A must have for me! I use it in every shake. It's only 40 calories and makes the shake tast great. I also add frozen berries and spinach. You can't taste the spinach with the fruit in it and you get extra veggies in.

Wishing you the best on your journey...

Good for you! That's great!

Wow! That's incredible! Congrats!

Thank you for this! I had about a week where I was eating under 1,000 calories and justified it by saying "the people that have weight loss surgery are eating 800-900 calories a day". I appreciate you being so candid and sharing your experience.

My doctor went by wrist size as well. I always thought the whole frame/bone size was a wives tale until my doctor checked my wrist size and explained it to me. My doctor did pick a number much higher than I expected.

My husband has a chronic illness that keeps him from eating more than 40 grams of protein a day or he can go into a coma. What we learned from all of his nutritionists and his doctors is that lack of protein equals muscle wasting and there's no way around it even with exercise. Even with this drastic change in diet he did…

I'm 5'3" and when I asked my doctor (he didn't bring it up) he said given my body type he would be perfectly happy if I were 165. I have been overweight my whole life and have over 130lbs to lose so I will be at that weight. His point was just that I would greatly reduce my risk of health problems if I were at that weight.…

Well said!!! Also, medications that may be required to treat mental conditions can cause weight gain so it's a constant struggle.

Blueberries!!! There good for you and are a nice addition to foods. I like them in plain cheerios and also like to put them in my morning shake.

You look amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your journey. You give me hope. I have 130+ lbs to lose and some times I feel like it's never going to happen. I originally joined MFP at the beginning of the year but didn't get friends or utilize the site until a couple months ago. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration :)

I have about 130+ lbs to lose. I don't know what I would do without the support that's available here. I originally joined MFP at the beginning of the year but didn't utilize the tools. I just started back a couple months ago. Feel free to add me, I could use the support too :)

I live in a small safe town (Rohnert Park, CA, US). I felt comfortable going for a walk at 3 am no problem. I no longer feel safe anywhere I go, no matter what town it is. In 2011 I became a witness in a murder case as I was confronted by the killer. It has completely ruined my sense of safety. I no longer go anywhere…

Those sound yummy! I never thought I would like a kale chip then my friend showed me how to make them in the microwave with just a little olive oil and salt. I didn't think they would be crunchy coming from the microwave, but they were. I also don't eat added salt. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste.

Thank you so much for this. I can't wait to try them.

Due to medical reasons, I had to quit eating salt and salty foods (anything out of a box or can and lunchmeat) cold turkey. I use Mrs. Dash in several flavors. It comes in regular, table blend, chicken, and fiesta lime (which I love on fish). I was desparate to add flavor to foods. It's funny, now I don't miss the salt and…

I think this definitely seems to make sense. Also, as some of the others said, you lose weight in your feet so why not your nose. I wear a toe ring and in the past when I've lost weight, I've lost it in my toes too.

You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.

They have a product called "Better N' Peanut Butter" that is still Peanut Butter, made from peanuts and it's delicious! Not only is it delicious, it's HALF the calories of regular peanut butter. Regular is 200 calories for 2 tbsp and this one is 100 calories for 2 tbsp. A friend had told me about it and I thought it was…

My husband and I don't eat red meat or pork. He has a health condition and has been directed by his Dr. not to eat them. We have been beef and pork free for 3 years.
