You can go a cheaper route with an android phone. The apps are available for android as well, which you should be able to get a descent phone for little to no cost, if you just want something that has the capability.

If you don't want to spend $300-$400 on a GPS tracking heart rate monitor, this may do the trick. http://www.bodytronics.com/p/garmin_heart_rate_monitors/GARFR70 If you get the optional foot pod, it will track your speed and distance.

What kind of phone do you have? If it has a GPS, you can use something like runkeeper, or smartrunner apps to track your runs. If that doesn't give you enough detail, then you can always buy a GPS tracker that will do the same thing, but they cost over $100. -James
