I use my Fitbit Charge HR2, previously had the Charge HR. I don't really need encouragement for steps, as a lot of people do who use it. I actually really like seeing calories burnt. I decided to very closely and accurately track my calories, weight fluctuation, and Fitbit readings for MONTHS (like, 6), to see how accurate…

I've loved my Asics Cumulus for running, have had three pairs, but they just don't last. Every pair got the same hole in the toe within a couple months. I'm now a couple months into some Nikes, a shoe I'd never thought I'd try for running, but they're great. The name is escaping me right now--maybe natural run?

5'3" and have lost 60 lbs--just looking to maintain--I'm here for life! :) At maintenance calories, if I'm sedentary, I burn 1400. I have to be super active!

I do 3 days lifting, 3-4 days of running, never on the same day (almost never, anyway). I cycled for awhile (more running, less and lighter lifting for awhile, then more lifting and less cardio). I limit my running a bit, at least compared to what I could do. I run 3-5 during the week, and one weekend day I'll do 5-10. I…

You'll definitely lose fat if you eat a calorie deficit, no matter what you're eating. You'll lose muscle too. I did this for 60 lbs. I then focused on my macros (fat/carbs/protein) and nutrition, as well as lifting, and went from being skinny to being fit (having a lower body fat percentage, defined stomach, etc). Part of…

Hi! Female, 27 years old, 5'3", Goal range 115-120 (currently 117), starting weight 175 Maintaining since October (but doing some recomp)

The Fitbit HR logs calories burned. I tracked it against my weight and very carefully recording calories and found it was actually about 90% accurate. I now have the Charge HR2, and it seems to be even a little more accurate, so I've been using it to help me maintain (since October now). Could be more/less accurate for…

Everything in moderation--I eat all of the above, plus lots of tortillas. Make sure they fit your calories and macros, and you'll have no problem losing weight with any of them.

I totally get how you feel. I've always been on a diet or not, but gaining weight, since I was 17. I lost 60 lbs over about a year and a half, finishing around October. I moved to maintenance athen and couldn't believe I could eat the calories--but I am, and maintaining. The recomp part definitely takes awhile, but it's…

I waited until I was 2/3 of the way to my weight goal to start because I didn't want to slow the scale, but if I had to do it over again, I would've started (small) from the start. It made such a difference in inches and how I looked/felt, as well as my metabolism. This book was also helpful for me:…

Oh and "how did you do it?" drives me crazy. Ate better and exercised? But if you need more detail than that, you're gonna need to hear me talk about it for an hour when realistically, the person asking wants you to name some magical pill/wrap/cleansing drink they can buy and do it in a week.

I didn't mind it at first, it helped me see that even though I felt I had a long way to go, I was making progress. But once I actually reached a healthy BMI, people started making comments about being too thin and "loosening up" (despite my eating 2000 calories per day)... there will always be people out there with…

You're eating way too little, it sounds like. I'm 115 lbs and while I am able to exercise more, I'm still eating 1800 calories and losing weight, 2200 or more to maintain. I'm not a big advocate for carbs being that low. I lost 60 lbs with carbs at 40% and fat/protein at 30%. In terms of getting protein without the fat,…

Typically walk my dog while drinking my amino energy (the dog's energy always helps a ton to get my day going), then have a yogurt and something small (apple/banana/almonds). Usually, depending what I'm doing, I'll wait maybe a half hour and head there.

I'm also a 2017 bride looking to continue maintaining good fitness and nutrition for our Caribbean wedding! Also on Fitbit. Happy to provide motivation/support/advice!

For me it just took time. I got where I thought I would want to be and still had more weight on my arms and stomach than I wanted. Lost about 10 more pounds and it seemed to almost all come off from there. Unfortunately hard to target weight loss, but it'll come eventually. Weight lifting likely played a big role in it for…

I do! I have the Charge HR 2 and tracked its calories burned/calories eaten/weight for a few months to determine how accurate it was so I could get a good idea of what maintenance is for me at different activity levels. Found it quite accurate, even moreso with low-impact exercise like walking. I have it tied into MFP so I…

Feel free to add me--I'm at 465, but had 300 and missed a day due to a wedding (still bitter). Love the community feeling!

Feel free to add me! Reached my weight goal last year, but looking to maintain and improve fitness through boxing, lifting, running and HIIT workouts...and, of course, healthy (mostly) eating.

Add me on here and fitbit!

I actually used my Fitbit Charge HR for this. I recorded what it said I burnt in a day versus what I ate (I was careful about logging very accurately), and how my weight changed over several months and found it was much more accurate than I thought (maybe 90%), so that has helped me stick to those calories in maintenance.…

Amino energy. I get it from Amazon (orange, watermelon, and pineapple are my favorite flavors), and I mix a couple scoops in with my water that I take to the gym, or, if I can't even drag myself there, I start drinking it at home. I just go and go on the treadmill or lifting when I have it. Another thought, I also used to…

I keep up exercise, especially when I get up in the morning. I also cut back before I go and after I come back.
