So.....if you got a flat tire would you slash the other 3 tires too? Fix it and move on. It was one meal. Get over it. One meal won't undo all the hard work you've put in up to this point, but the option to quit sure will.

Very well written and informative. i'm not yet at goal weight, but reading this sure has enlightened me along my journey. Thank you for posting.

A great post. I too, love to run because I feel accomplished and at peace with myself. It took me a long time to enjoy it because I never liked running as a kid, but as an adult I've gained a fondess and appreciation for it. Its helped me lose weight and help me find inner peace during a difficult period in my life. I have…

Try fitnessblender.com for over 400 free workout videos that use cardio, HIIT, pilates, strength training, you name they have it. If you like just strictly Pilates have you…

I enjoy doing POP Pilates (Blogilates). Free videos on Youtube. Just go to Blogilates channel on there and you will find all sorts of workouts. They range from stretching, cardio, HIIT, strength, abs, you name Cassie covers it. Thats my go-to for pilates workouts.

I'd scrap the 1200 calorie a day theory since you are quite active and keep reading up info on TDEE and IIFYM. Try using that method for a month and see what your results are at that time.

Agree! This has worked well for me.

Look at it this way...it's a Journey, because in essence it is. So with that in mind, say you're on a road trip with a destination planned. You're more than half way there and suddenly you are re-routed due to construction, or wrong turn, or whatever. Do you turn around and go home thinking you'll try again some other…

No complaints so far! Love doing the different body parts each day and mixing in the HIIT.

Just found this group and decided to join because Pop Pilates is awesome! Have been following her calendars since March this year and so far my favourite has been the June one with a mix of cardio and strength. This month is good too. Glad to have joined and hope to see lots of feedback on this site regarding her workouts!

I understand where you're coming from with being busy and problems with portion control, but how about taking the "idea" behind the 21 Day Fix and finding a less expensive way to incorporate it. Why not just purchase different sized containers that are color coded if thats what helps you. You can get oodles of sizes at the…

As others have said...Jillian Micahels, fitnessblender.com and try the BeFit Channel on YouTube. Lots of great playlists.

Yep, it only gets more insane. The biggest problem for me was that the workouts were longer, up to about 60 min whereas the first month it was around 40 minutes. By the end of month 1 I was keeping up not too bad, then BAM, month 2 makes me feel like I'm starting from Ground Zero all over again. Enjoy!

Just like if you're tired of starting over, then stop quitting. Love this post! :flowerforyou:

You say you want ideas on how to make exercise fun? It doesn't have to be a "program" such as weight lifting, aerobics, etc. Think back to when you were a kid and all you did was play. Toss a frisbee around (good for arms), swing on the swings (good for core), play hopscotch( great for legs and core and balance), monkey…

I only eat when I am hungry. That way I know I am not eating out of boredom, emotions, and all that mindless munching in front of the tv or computer. All that constant grazing is what packed on the pounds in the first place. Now I eat when my body tells me its ready and I make sure that I eat till I am content, not…

I find if you have to "make" yourself workout then its not going to motivate you at all. It becomes work, which means no fun. You mentioned that you pass by a park and you plan to walk there with your daughter. Why not become a kid again and "play". Go down the slides with her (stairs are great for legs), do the monkey…

I sweat very easily. Heck I can be drenched just doing a warm-up before I even get into heavy cardio. It is what it is, and hey, it makes a shower afterwards all that more refreshing.

I have a couple pairs of jeans that still have the price tag on them that I knew was my size about 3 yrs ago but don't fit now. Whenever I lose motivation or get frustrated, I pull them out and hang them on the back of the bedroom door so that when I wake up I can refocus on my goals and get my butt in gear for the day.…

I can only stand to eat Vanilla Greek yogurt and I will add some peanut butter to it. Other times, I put vanilla greek yougurt in a mini waffle bowl, feeze it for about 10 minutes then add fresh raspberries, blueberries & strawberries...delicious frozen treat.

There's nothing wrong working out 4 days in a row, however, I would try to target different areas of your body each day. You have to let your muscles rest at some point and by doing upper body day, lower body another and so on you allow muscles to recoup. I may do cardio one day and strength the next, or if its 5 days of…

As stated above, Fitnessblender and blogilates are great. Also, check out BeFit Channel on YouTube. Befit Extreme 30, or 90, as well as BeFit HIIT, BeFit Go are all great series as well.

About 3/4cup of Oikos Vanilla Greek yogurt mixed with a tablespoon of creamy peanut butter. I could live on the stuff.

I eat when I'm hungry. I go by what my body tells me, not my watch. I can't be bothered (or have the time) to be a clock watcher and time my meals. When I'm hungry I eat, no matter what time of day it is. I stay within my calories and watch my macros. Thats my preference, it works for me. Do what works for you. And 1lb a…

You say it "looks simple" and that you have a "really busy schedule", therefore saving a lot of time. We all have busy schedules but you have to make the time to plan ahead your meals and your workouts. Looking at the 21 Day Fix plan it seems you have to pack your foods into little portion controlled containers. How is…

oh my...I literally lived on Twinkies as a kid. And King Dons and just about any Hostess product. Hostess and Chef Boyardee were go-to's. Although, I did have a Twinkie not too long ago and the flavour has changed some since I remember as a kid.

I used to eat breakfast normally, but I find that sets me up for hunger for the rest of the day. I just keep on doing the mindless munching at my desk at work and always think of what I will be eating at the next meal. I stopped having breakfast and problem solved. I eat when I truly feel hunger and then go from there for…
