I have two x 1 litre bottles each day and just continually keep sipping. I don't like water either, especially out of a glass! Sometimes I'll have sparkling mineral water with lemon and ice to try and make it seem a bit fancy, but to me it's just something I have to make myself do. Your body will thank you for it.

I think you should go! My ex (husband of 28 years) left me for a younger, thinner, but much dumber bimbo! I can't tell you how much that hurt me and screwed me up. When our eldest son was getting married I was D R E A D I N G I T!!! In the end, it turned out to be a wonderful night. I got heaps of compliments, and he was…

Hi Katherine, I'm from Brisbane and would like more friends doing this by eating clean, healthy friends. I'll add you.

Hi and Welcome, I'm 50 and trying to lose 50. I try to eat clean and get some excercise, and always looking for motivational friends. I'll send you an add. Can't help with working out cause I live on the other side of the world.

Yes, as ironic as it sounds... Diet Coke makes you fat! Gave mine up 3 days ago, here's hoping I can stay away from it forever.

Yes, they're my pet hates too. (As well as to and too). Did you notice the incorrect "your" in the beginning post by HeidiRene?

I agree you need to eat some of the calories back, especially if it was high burn excercise. But the thing I dont get is why MFP advises eating them all back when their estimates are I feel quite generous on calories burned and they dont take into account the 70-100 calories that a person would have burnt anyway had they…

Hi, I'm from Brisbane, just turned 50. Add me if you like.

Emma, I just downloaded her book and have read it quickly, will read more tomorrow! I WANT to try it! Cravings and hunger are what destroy me. Will you add me as a friend?

Hey you've just been to a funeral, you're allowed to be sad and down. Set yourself a couple of really small achievable goals with a nice (non food) reward. Success breeds success and you'll soon be feeling more confident about continuing your journey.

Salt??? Time of the month??? Your body could just be re-adjusting to the amount of fluid you lost the first week .... so perhaps you have lost 1.8 kg of fat over two weeks which is awesome. Just stick with it, and soon your weight will drop again.

Not too many friends yet. Feel free to add me if you  like. I'm female, 50 and live in Bris with 23kg to lose. Have been doing this for 2 weeks now and 2kgs down YAY!

I found these great mueslis at a deli. They're called "The Muesli" (97% sugar free) and I have 25gms of it mixed with 25gms of "Chia Seed Blend" and a big spoon of Jalna yoghurt. It doesn't look like much in the bowl, but it REALLY keeps me going without any hunger for a good three hours afterwards.

Log it in to your food diary. I find it very motivating .... Also try to think of those treats as NON treats, they're just instant gratification, very short lived emotionally and do nothing for our bodies except stuff around our blood sugar and leave us craving more. It's a big, bad world out there trying to make us…

Hi I'm new too, 52, female, in Australia. Today marks day 14 for me and I've lost 2kgs. This site is wonderful ... I'm managing to track all my food and exercise really easily (and boy, it's been an eye opener) .... not surprised at all now how I've managed to stack on 20+ unwanted kilos. I find the success stories on the…

Three of my friends have had the gastric sleeve. The bypass is very radical, you'll be on vitamin pills/injections for the rest of your life. They have all had amazing results and wished they'd done it much earlier. Three years on and they are all maintaining with healthy BMI's. There are some foods that they still can't…

You can add me. I'm 50, female, with a 19 year old daughter and live in Bris.

Oh I'm the same. I imagine there are thousands of us out there that are. I'm 50 with 50lbs to lose and have yo-yoed all my life. I just joined this site a week ago and am finding it really motivating. I've generally always been good with my foods through the day but binge big time late afternoon and evenings. This time…

What a wonderful achievement. You look fantastic and should be very proud of your achievements!

Hi, I'm 50 and would love to lose 50, although I'll happily settle for 40. I just found and joined this site today, and already finding it an inspirational eyeopener. A lifelong yoyo dieter, it often feels impossible to shed what has taken half a century to accumulate. I've a big, scary, holiday coming up in 36 weeks (read…

I'm in Australia, but spend 3-4 months a year in the UK, you're welcome to add me.

Great info ... all calories obviously aren't equal.

Me too, just joined today. The site is pretty impressive, and I'm astounded how quickly the calories add up. Sometimes I wonder if the whole western world has lost it's sense of portion size. I've just turned 50 and still struggling with going up 5 pounds, losing 4, then gaining another 6 or 7 .... which has eventually…
