You're already beautiful!!! Please don't judge and compare yourself against others. There's always going to be someone slimmer, faster, smarter, funnier, or whatever .... that's just the way the world is. Try to start comparing yourself to how far you could run last year, last month etc and you'll see that you're…

When he says 'go to bed hungry' he doesn't mean starving. You have to read the reason behind the rules. They are all very sound. It's been proven many times that people who drink a glass of water right before a meal consume 10-15% less calories for that meal. I think if you can get a look at the book and read it all it…

I applaud you. There seem to be so many obstacles in this day and age to feeding children healthily...advertising, peer pressure, time constraints, costs, etc etc. You should be proud, and your child/children will thank you for the rest of their lives.

It's a world wide site. I'm in Australia. Welcome!

I'm bumping too...I can only live in hope!

I'm was so sorry to read your prom story. Being overweight can seriously deflate your confidence. You'll find most people on this site have similar tales to tell. MFP can really help. You've got to log EVERYTHING, the good, the bad, the downright ugly bingeing, and get some friends to support you. I'm old enough to be your…

Thank you for sharing, and inspiring! I'm also 50 and completed day 1 yesterday. You've made me feel like I can do it!

Oh this sounds so yummy. I've been doing it without the yoghurt and garlic and loving it, but I'm going to try your version tonight. Thanks

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm a little down, cause the scales aren't moving. But you are right!!! I'm just going to look forward to how I will look and feel in 6 months time and keep on keeping on! Congrats on your achievement, you're an absolute inspiration .... thanx again for sharing!

Have a read about Candida. If you've changed your diet and it's dying off in your body (which is a wonderful thing) it can make you feel really crap for a week or so. Drink lots of water.

I wish I had good news for you, but some mothers just shouldn't be mothers! It's not a written law that all mums are beautiful, loving, caring, nuturing women ..... that's just a media hyped fairy tale. Your life is about you, and you are doing just fine. We can't control how others react towards us, however they're…

Love your post. What a journey you've had, and are continuing to have :D Keep up the great work, you've done amazing job and treated your body with respect and kindness. What's not to love about it?

Get on to your school. At the schools I've been involved with if they have this problem, they encourage a de-nit weekend, where all children and households are treated on the same day. It's the only way to break the cycle!

Can't comment too much cause your diary is locked!

Start tracking Fat, Protein, Carbs, Sodium and SUGAR and try to stick especially to the recommended sodium and sugar levels.

Ok, here goes, and I hope I don't offend you! I just looked at your diary (only the last three days I admit), but I think you could clean up your food. Try cutting out most of the processed food and try a diet of lean meats, salads, natural yoghurt, vegies, eggs, brown rice, quinoa, fish, etc. Stay away from anything and…

This! It's certainly highlighting something in their lives that they have an issue with. It's got little to do with you! Be proud of your accomplishments, make these changes for you and no-one else. Stick with MFP and you'll find lots of support from like minded people. Best Wishes for your journey to better health and a…

I think 6 mins is epic!!! Each day will get you a little further

Try having an open sandwich. You get heaps more filling that way and save on a slice of bread. Only drawback, it usually needs to be eaten with a knife and fork :-)
-
Added ... Thank you so much!

I'd go to a certified nutritionist. I'm not sure MFP is the place for advice on such a serious health problem. I wish you both well and hope the meds can get his levels down.

Your food looks good. I'd also track your sugar consumption and try and get that quite low. Re your exercise calories .... are you sure they're accurate?? MFP really is only a guide and often quite generous. And one thing people always forget is to subtract their BMR from the exercise. That is if your daily calorie…
