No, unless I am moving around furniture or doing yard work. I plan on moving all the furniture and cleaning carpets this week end. I will count this but not count any of the usual housework.

I find that logging my food is the only way to keep myself accountable. It would be way to easy to eat more if I didn't log it. It is also easier to log it into MFP than to write it down which is what the dietican told me to do. I don't want to go back to my starting weight. So I will continue logging as long as I need to.

When I was diagnosed diabetic and decided I didn't want to end up like my grandpa giving myself shots everyday. Or like my dad who had a stoke mostly caused by his diabeties. I decided I was going to take control of my life and diabeties wasn't going to control me.

Just remember it didn't take you 2 weeks to gain the extra weight and I definately won't come off in 2 weeks. Just take it one day at a time. I lost 25lbs just changing my eating habits. I usually get my jeans at Old Navy, but I love JC Penney's and Ross. Ross is pretty cheap and usually can find lots of cute clothes. I am now down to a Medium or Large shirt from a 2XL and have found some really cute, inexpensive shirts at Ross.

We went to Honolulu, Hawaii in 2009. We went in the spring and the beaches on the north shore weren't crowded at all. Spent lots of time at a little beach called the Hukilau beach. There is also plenty of other activities to do. My daughter and I went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay it was a blast. I would go back in a heartbeat.

You definitely need some more fresh fruit and veggies. Right now is the best time for fresh veggies. Find out if there is a farmer's market close to where you live. What about eggs? Maybe add some eggs into your diet.

I agree, the scale is not your friend. It doesn't always tell what is going on with your body. The scale can tell me I have gained a few pounds but my clothes tell me otherwise.

I too work with people who are always bringing treats. I always have my healthy snacks at my desk. I also find that if I chew gum it helps me not put anything else in my mouth. You've come to the right place. Don't look at the big picture as it will seem too overwhelming. Take it one day at a time, baby steps. Get lots of friends it helps to have the encouragment and motivation they give. Good luck you can do this. You took the first big step already.
