This is the one I use for small things, Salter model 1250: http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/salter-1250.html?gclid=CJWSm_bMhLYCFeZFMgodq2wA3w

That's an astonishing accomplishment! Go you!

This made me think of how a friend of mine quit. He made a rule that he could smoke, but only at particular park about 3 miles from his house, and he had to get there on foot. He ended up smoking a lot at first, but got into running as a result. 20 years later, hes still running 10 miles most days.

E-cigarettes are how I finally quit in April 2011 after smoking for 25 years. I tried gum, the patch, and cold turkey in earnest (3 months of not smoking with each) before, but ultimately failed. I'm stil addicted to nicotine, but I don't have the smoker's endurance troubles I had when I was 100 lbs lighter than now, and…

What do you mean?
-
Wonderful! You are itty-bitty now!
-
The calories for what I want to weigh are right about at what MFP has be set for, so it's all the same to me.

I'm having a bowl right now... 1 oz each of oat bran and textured vegetable protein with a small apple microwaved for 3 minutes. Then I mix in 2 TB of PB2, 2 packets of stevia, and 1/2 T of flax oil. It's good!

It's an amazing transformation!
-
Yes! That's a great one.
-
A Dirty Shame. Some might find it offensive, but it's a John Waters movie so that's par for the course.
-
Amazing work!

Keep trying different ones until you find some you like.

Mine are 50% carbohydrate, 30% protein, 20% fat.

I responded because I didn't look at the date! I thought it just happened... :(

You mentioned your lunch was where things took a turn, so maybe just take the lesson that you do better with your regular lunch and move on. There's nothing that can be done to undo today's difficulties, but you can use the experience to avoid having another binge down the road. If you're persistent about identifying where…

I do the same (in fact, I can't believe someone else mentioned these!), and it helps. So does regular exercise.
-
That's awesome!

Added refined sugars are the only thing I keep an eye on. I go over 40 g sugar every day because I eat a lot of vegetables, so I'm better off disregarding it and not tracking sugar.
-
Either a good black coffe or nonfat sugar-free latte. The lattes have some calories, but not so many they can't be worked into the day pretty easily.
-
That would be a deal breaker for me.
-
I wouldn't. I got strep throat for the first time, as an adult, last year. It took several months and 3-4 rounds of antibiotics to fnally shake it. Rest will help recovery.
-
Oat bran. It's breakfast almost every day. Edit: And low sodium spicy V8 and carrot chips. I have those every day too!
-
This is a great point. I often go up to 3 weeks with no change on the scale, then it suddenly shows a 6 lb loss. I have no idea what causes that, but in the end it doesn't really matter. I'm not racing anybody!

I buy organic non-GMO TVP in bulk at my health food store. After planning the following day's food, if protein's low it's easy to fit into anything.

A bike was how I first started getting in shape. I'd recommend visiting a bike shop to check out different kinds to see what you are comfortable with - I ended up with a mountain/cruiser hybrid and love it. You can always look for something used, but doing a little tire-kicking can help ensure you like what you end up…

What an awesome couple you two are!

This was my thought as well. No hands in pockets, it could be anything, but if he IS putting his hands in his pockets you can be sure he's cheating.

I need a Like button for this one...

I use lots of Penzey's salt-free blends. They have several ethnic and regional seasonings that are really good as well as some all-purpose ones. http://www.penzeys.com/cgi-bin/penzeys/c-Salt_Free.html?id=y8tfq5Jo
