Holy carp, you look fantastic! Great job!

New Rules of Lifting is an excellent suggestion. I just got it to get back into lifting. The last time I took this weight off 10+ years ago, I lifted heavy and did lots of cardio just on my own. I got increased definition, tone, and strength, and kept my metabolism going to get down to 18% body fat. I'd tried losing the…

Are you single?

Awesome!

The difference is amazing - i would have guessed a lot more than 16 lbs. Great job!

I've had a herniated disc in my lower back for many years, and squats actually help me when it acts up. Those and lunges are great for the butt!

Excellent!

The outburst was about her, not you. You're doing great things for yourself, so keep it up!

Awesome work! Your After picture nullifies the need for a warning. :)

I'm finishing my last semster of grad school and sometimes end up with $5 for the week, so I feel your pain... My first stop is usually the health food store for bulk oat bran (under $2/lb) and TVP (textured vegetable protein, high protein & fiber, versatile, and under under $3/lb). After that, I go to the grocery store…

It is awkward for me too. I just go with "Thanks."

That's great!

That's amazing! You look fantastic.

I was vegetarian for 17 years, and am still mostly so now. Without animal protein, it's hard to get adequate B vitamins and iron. I take a B-50 as well as a women's multivitamin that contains iron to cover that. For a healthier diet, fruits, veggies, nuts, tempeh, and seitan are a good start. If you're interested in…

Great idea! I'm lucky enough to have all the ingredients right here, so you just planned tomorrow's dinner for me. :)

I'll stay on track today because I want to feel good and be happy. :)

Your diary looks fine to me.

A short massage (like 15 min) is a favorite of mine.

I usually end up between 1550-1700, depending on activity. I find higher is better because it's something I can do long-term. If I were hungry all the time, there's no way I could stick with it.

Seeing a counselor might help, just to get some impartial input to sort out your own thoughts. Divorce is miserable, but in the long run drinking and smoking too much will probably make it harder on you. I'm sorry that happened to you!

I take these: http://www.swansonvitamins.com/swanson-premium-high-potency-softgel-multi-240-sgels?otherSize=SW490 Also a B-50 every day.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please be very, very gentle with yourself. My mother died several years ago, and I still get broken up every now and then. The grief will ease with time, and I'm sure you'll be able to conquer whatever you want then. In the meantime, just do the best you can.

I'd agree to check with him. I worked out daily (with lots of jumping) in a 2nd floor apartment. I just made sure it was during reasonable hours and also had to cut the neighbors below some slack when I'd otherwise complain. It was worth it!

I've been there too. The suggestion to call your insurance is a good one. They should be able to connect you with a couselor to help sort out your thoughts and maybe a nutritionist to set up a plan of action. No matter what, don't lose hope!

Excellent!

I forget about the errors, but learn a lesson from them. Someone mentioned a pint of ice cream being both a poor choice and a reminder not to keep it in the house - I don't have ice cream in the house right now only because I learned the same lesson the same way. At the end of the day, if you take a look at what worked for…

You look incredible! More importantly, you look really happy and confident in your new picture. Congratulations on a job well done!

Yep, healthy fats are the way to add calores easily.

Raw jicama is good on its own, so are grape tomatoes, carrot chips, and sugar snap peas.
