Thanks mate, my first real laugh of the day. That says more about the quality of my day than anything else but I'll take it gratefully. On Topic OP: I guess that if you are linking to Mark's Daily Apple then you agree with his "Carbohydrate Curve" which is central to his nutritional guidelines. As we are talking science…

Currently The Catcher In The Rye having ploughed through The Bedwetter (Sarah Silverman) and American On Purpose (Craig Ferguson) this week, both of which I enjoyed.

Leftover party pies, sausage rolls, curried baked beans and some turkish bread. Lean protein, what that? ;) I shall consider the error of my ways over a glass or six of red wine tonight.

The single malt Scottish water rocks. We are on tank-water here ... from sky to roof to gutter to tank to me ... lovely stuff. And it does taste different, especially if I've been a bit tardy cleaning the gutters ....

Because there are a lot of cowards hiding behind the anonymity of the Internet? Just a guess ...

I am several red wines to the good (or bad, depending on your moral compass) but this is quote worthy in the extreme. :)

My working day would be a lot worse without my daily large banana (oh er missus, etc) and my boringly medium sized apple, No idea if it's helping me to drop excess lard though, maybe my rampant crystal meth habit is taking over and masking the effects of, what I see to be, decent nutrition.

Tinned tuna, I spice it up, maybe have a slice of bread with it and I'm powered up.

Variety is good, we alternate in a haphazard manner. Potato chips on whole grain just doesn't have the same air of decadance anyway. Red Rock Deli Chilli chips on the whitest of bread ... Yum.

If we are talking making a cover 'your own' there is one stand out for me ... Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower.

I'm scared witless so I'm going to get some loonies to kill me then bury the body in a stone tomb. I hope to miraculously emerge after festivities are over. If all goes to plan I'll drop a few lbs, apparently due to the lack of carbs. I hear that such behaviour is not without precedent.

Sweet Baby Jesus. Great that it works for you but I'll stick to my path :) Hold on, we agree on something ...

I find getting the hell out of the house helps me cope.

Comments like that illustrate perfectly why I don't want some random know-nothing without two brain cells to rub together passing judgement on my nutrition ...

MFP is a personal tracking tool for me, I don't want amyone's opinions on what I consume and when. I couldn't give a monkey's what my wife thinks, never mind some random on the interwebz ;)

Sporty Spice 60kcals/hour Baby Spice 39kcals/hour? Sorry, I'm so 1990's ... Blame the huge glass of red I'm drinking and not logging ...

Walking rocks, just walking, putting one foot in front of the other and striding on. I love it, I'd do it if it didn't burn any calories. Walking is my meditation time, especially post work, and if it helps me get leaner then that is a happy byproduct ...

It's pretty close for food but I don't log every dribble of tomato ketchup or every bit of garlic, say. I know by now what is significant and I'm happy for my diary to be an approximation. Given that EVERYTHING calorie-wise is a vast approximation .... from food labels to exercise calories burnt to ... I also drink plenty…

Does this apply to Fruit Gums too? ;)

July, because it's due.

Given a choice I'd pick ice cream and red wine.

Jaysus, straight to hell then :D

I read that as caucasian ... But it is early here and, worryingly, the MFP forum is the first site that I surf, On topic,I find some of the refined stuff can cause cravings for me, which doesn't help maintaining the energy gap. I eat 'em all though, it's all good innit?

I moved to Aus(tralia, not tria for all you Americans) from England 8 years ago. Pretty happy with the move, I think you carry your moods/attitudes/expectations wherever you go though. If you move to 'get away' from something (weather, economy, immigrants (despite being an immigrant yourself), etc) then you're probably in…

If you take into account the amount of time that it takes to fully digest anything (and how everything just turns into mush in the gut anyway, making the original question pointless) then 'macro timiing' on a meal to meal basis pre/post/during/whatever exercise starts to look like an exercise of over-complicating matters.…

Sleep with members of the opposite sex roughly the same age as me without the attendant fear of prosecution to the full extent of the law.
