Just awesome!

I do overhead work, usually push press or push jerks. It's a bench accessory as are rows. It's a rare program where I have a day where I'm not doing at least one of squat bench and deadlift.
-
2 days off from lifting, but I'm still up and busy and moving those two days. A complete lazy rest day happens a couple times a year.
-
As a powerlifter, my days revolve around bench/squat/deadlift, not body parts.

High rep squats

I'm just going to leave this here. The description on instagram says it all. https://instagram.com/p/BQD6j-zFWIo/

The only things a stretch on a regular basis are hip flexors and hamstrings. Only just enough to keep enough movement to hit depth on squats. Being hypermobile, one of the worst things I can do is stretch and destabilize my joints

My preworkout routine is perhaps the shortest of the lifters that I personally know. Bench and squat days have me mobilizing my shoulders for a couple minutes, squats also see me loosen up my hip flexors just enough that I can hit depth. Deads might be some leg swings if my hips are feeling tight. Years spent learning…

5 is fine. 5 is start of moving into a power phase. 3 is better and singles are best.

There's a big difference between dropping and throwing the weights down. Proper oly bars with bumpers are designed to take it, and oly lifts do get at least controlled dropped from the top. That being said, throwing the weight down and being a general idiot is just dumb. Outright abuse of equipment will get you kicked out.…

At least I don't have to deal with it until July again. Nationals and worlds and provincials following one after the other is going to keep my reps low.
-
When my coach handed me the second extensification cycle in a row, his first words "you are absolutely going to hate me" 12,10,10,8,8 reps. And 20,18,18,16,14 on bench. I was swearing so badly in my head the whole time.
-
What's your priority? That's what you should do first. I do almost no purposeful cardio. But I do get 20,000+ steps in most days of the week.
-
Most of this. Except mine are 5 and 6. And weekends are my rest days. Rest day simply means that I'm not in the gym training. I'm still running around, chasing my girls, dancing. The couple days a year I get to actually do nothing are very much enjoyed.

I curse anytime I'm over 5 reps at least on main lifts.
-
I hate the hex bar, mostly because the knurling is brutal on my hands. That being said, it's a great way to accumulate more volume without over taxing the lower back.

So this was my opener my last meet last summer. Last of five sets, and I'd be shooting myself in the foot to use it again this time. https://instagram.com/p/BPx1iVFFUPX/

@juliewatkin - those look fun! Love the lvd top. So excited they got ipf approval because it solves the what shirt to wear for three lift problem.
-
All platform numbers- Squat 127.5kg Bench 92.5kg Deadlift 170kg Squat and deadlift were done at 85kg body weight, bench at 88.
-
Bench. Always bench. Deads are pretty awesome to.
-
Daily. Some days just a bit, other days far more heavy on the sweets. Make it fit and do it.

It's been an awesome week. First, hit 50kg for a set of 2,2 push press/push jerk that now has my coach teasing me about teaching me oly lifts and getting me to compete there. https://instagram.com/p/BPqg4xyhwHk/ Then, squatted over 100kg (specifically 102.5) beltless for the first time in over two years (mid august 2014…

Just keep lifting. Playing in the dirty rice is my secret weapon.
-
I only squat so that I can deadlift. My max is still higher than almost everyone, excepting the powerlifters.
-
Then you are in the awesome club! It's fun regularly out lifting the boys.
-
Never enough. Ever.
-
@maranarasauce93 - beautiful pull! 300 is right there!
-
I'm equally strong in both. I just have more patience breaking from the floor than pushing through to lockout so I pull sumo except when coach tells me to pull conventional

I've built a large portion of my training wardrobe around being JUST inside the rules. I get hot when I train, and the less I'm wearing the better I feel. I so want to try a pair of grrrl shorts but I'm scared they are going to be too short to train in. Maybe I'll throw a pair onto my next order.
-
Nope. And I get it. We have a lot of subjunior/youth athletes in for training. It's about creating a respectful atmosphere. Same thing with tops - doesn't matter what it looks like but you have to wear it. And being perfectly honest, the 2" inseam on my shorts just barely keeps the booty covered.
