Hey there! I, too, have 100+ to lose. I chose to make my goal 60 lbs, so it isn't as daunting as 100. Request sent!
-
I've had multiple failures. I'll have to try a few of the suggestions above, though! I made a protein pancake that was wonderful using protein powder, cinnamon, 2 egg whites and vanilla. AMAZING!
-
Me too... I've found that I overeat when I'm feeling ANYTHING other than 'normal'.
-
HAA!! Cutler.... Definitely rational. This girl's got AARON RODGERS!! Yup - Packers rock. I probably shouldn't mention Peppers, huh?
-
For the first time ever, I didn't want to punch anyone!!! LOL - that was awesome.
-
First - People that chew on cloth....UGH!!! Like the sweatshirt strings or sleeves. Seriously worse than any nails on a chalkboard. (I'm clenching my jaw just thinking about it) Second - Beyoncé's single ladies song. Every time I hear it I want to punch anyone in the throat. AAAAAANNNND.... Now it will be stuck in my head.

New friends are always good! Sent!

I wonder who's on the receiving end of her "come hither..." look?
-
^^ More selfie lessons.
-
Have him teach me the art of selfies. I suck at them. Hence the flowers...

Sent! I, too am always looking for new pals.

I can totally relate - I've been known to hide wrappers/food. :( MFP has been super helpful as long as I stay 'active' in these types of threads and actually seek out help from of MFPers when I have an issue. Good luck on your weekly goal! You got this!
-
Not to hijack this thread... but I am looking at this calculation, and I realize that I could calculate my TDEE using historical data as well... right?!? If I take my 4 week average daily NET calories: 1818/day + my 4 week average daily deficit of 250 calories (based on my 2 lbs loss in 4 weeks... 7000 cals/28 days = 250…

I disagree. Her EVERYTHING is amazing!! You look fantastic!

I tend to agree with this. I've found it especially useful because my normal activity doesn't come close to the recommended 10,000 steps/day. I'm trying to get more steps, while also adding additional exercise. There seems to be a fairly significant difference between the MFP and fitbit food trackers, so I'm sticking with…
-
I only eat my deficit when I add exercise - NOT my daily activities and calories burned according to the fitbit.
-
I'm with you, too! I'm so happy I found this group! I'm not new to MFP, just back again.
-
This is what I was thinking... I log my exercise into MFP and TRY (really hard!) to keep a deficit of 50% or so.

I'm with you on this. I've been all over the place with my weight - but never really been at an "ideal" weight. I'm definitely an emotional eater and I absolutely sabotage myself. I'm officially larger than I've EVER been and am REALLY trying to lose it. I truly don't know what or when that sabotage trigger will go off, or…

So many amazing ideas! I truly cannot thank you all enough for your support and suggestions!!

I can completely relate. I have 3 kids - ages 15, 9 and 8. I work full-time as does my husband (he works a TON of overtime in the nice weather months). It can be nearly impossible to really be able to focus on ourselves and do what we NEED and WANT. Folks would always tell me: "You cant take care of everyone if you don't…

Congrats on the great loss!!!!
-
I typically try to save a good amount of calories for dinner - and my exercise is sometimes an uncertainty. I'm doing Daily Burn at home and depending on how our evening is going, I don't always get to it.
-
PEANUT BUTTER! Great idea! That usually gives me the "full" feeling I'm always striving for!
-
Since my nightly binges have been banished from my head  my speed has definitely slowed down.
-
DEFINATLEY an emotional eater, but obviously trying to get a handle on it by paying more attention to the how's and when's of eating.
-
Probably a stupid question, but what would one consider nonstarchy vegetables?
-
I actually have been eating back almost all of them. It helps motivate me to do exercise - probably not the best way to motivate myself...

Thanks all! I've actually been drinking about 10 cups of water per day in an attempt to avoid the starving/hungry feeling, but it doesn't always work. I think mamapeach is probably right on when she said that we (overweight folks) tend to eat before we get hungry and find the hungry feeling as an emergency. I'll give it…
