Yep, I did this too. My freezer is well stocked. Thankfully my husband can share food with me but he doesn't always like everything I cook. I have way, way too much food.

I was able to eat real food prior to surgery. We were on a 1000 calorie diet and they didn't care about the macro-nutrient breakdown of that 1000 calories but I chose to eat extremely low carb. It worked really well and I'm so glad I didn't have to drink shakes for FOUR weeks instead of just the two weeks post op!
