  • I am only on week three or four, using nrt, and I have not gained any weight. My loss stalled until today, but I did give myself extra cals because I knew sucking on dinner mints and things of that nature would help me loads. The first few days I definitely wanted to eat more than usual but I understood why. It is totally…
  • I'm 5"3' currently 161 pounds. My initial goal weight is 125 lb, though I plan to reevaluate when I get to 130. I cannot remember being less than 130, though it's been around four years since I've seen that number!
  • I'd try adding a bit to your normal days too, then. You can always get some short videos to do at home, too! Getting up 20-30 minutes early to get a workout in before your morning shower is a great start to the day! Losing weight is mostly about your diet, exercise can change your shape. I'd also start measuring yourself…
  • How often do you work out? I would start by eating more, either by eating back cals burned or increasing your goal by 100 or so.
  • It's amazing! It doesn't really look too appetizing, but I was hooked the first time I had it! If you try making your own, don't forget the tahini. My sister made it without it before, and it never tasted right.
  • Maybe you haven't lost, but you haven't gained either! That alone is an accomplishment! Do you have any friends you could go to the gym with? Even one day a week to start out with. I love doing Zumba at home, but I have always loved the weight machines at the gym. When you cook, use lots of spices! I don't believe whole…
  • Yes! You are your own person, and as long as you are truly happy that is all that matters! My family didn't like my husband at all until they spent more time around him and realized he is hard working, caring, and pretty awesome. He's just been dealt some bad hands in the past.
  • It could very likely be just a uti. Besides that, it's hard to really know when things like dementia are coming when you're close to the person. My husband noticed it in my great grandma before any of us did, when she introduced herself to him numerous times in a few hours.
  • Take measurements! If you gain some muscle, the number in the scale may stay the same but measurements may!
  • Goal Weight: 130 3/9 Starting Weight: 182 3/16: 3/23: 3/30: Final Weight 4/7:
  • You look so amazing! Can't wait till I can take similar pictures!
  • Eat till you're not hungry, but try to eat at least some back. If you go over the next day, don't stress it either! 1200 is quite low, even if some days it feels like you're eating the kitchen!
  • I usually eat, relax for an hour or so, then work out. I cannot do it immediately after eating, makes me feel so sick!
  • You're very welcome! If you can find hem second hand cheaper, you really don't need the toning sticks the set comes with. I just use two 2.5 free weights.
  • Awe! Off the top of my head... Step by step Exhilarate Activate Rush Ripped Mix Fitness concert Exhilarate is the name of the set. If you are anything like me, you will probably feel like an idiot at first, but after a couple days you'll loosen up and start having loads of fun, and burn even more calories!!
  • I have the newest DVD set, as well as the first. The newest is much better in my opinion, but i still have two and a half I haven't tried. If you have a 360, I'd try the game, the tracking seems to be much mire accurate with that than with the wii or PS3
  • I love Zumba! It's been my only real exercise so far, and I lost four pounds with it before I joined Mfp. My starting weight was 195. I even lost weight just doing the step by step DVD!
  • Buy meat in bulk when it's on sale, separate and freeze it. Make meals in a large crock pot. Chili is wonderful! Fill it with tomatoes, beans, rice, peppers, meat, spices; pretty much anything yummy to make a lasting, filling meal. I love chili. Ha.
  • I think I will, too. Unless I get a popcorn machine. ; )
  • I remember being told not to put metal in the microwave when I was little. Then my sister and I were charged with putting bows on the Christmas tree. Had to test the theory, but we shut it off as soon as the sparks started and no fire! Till tonight, I had never accidentally lit anything on fire.
  • Makes me feel better that I'm not alone! And I am so thankful it was only my finger. Bad second degree burn, but it'll heal and my face didn't get it!!
  • Yes! Honestly I feel the worst about ruining the microwave. Lame, but I'm still staying in my great grandparent's house, the passed away in Jan and my husband and I were here caring for them. I can hear my grandpa's voice, "I think I messed up..." kinda makes me smile. Thing is, I've been making popcorn this way for weeks…
  • Does non wii zumba count?
  • You look amazing!!
  • I've gained almost exclusively on my belly, and I have lost there already! I think it depends on the person more than anything. Of course, ,most of my muscle mass is on my legs, too.
  • Sodium increases water retention, but you do need it. I would stick to the preset setting and try to meet it. So many things contain sodium! The biggest hinderance it poses to weight loss is through the scale. If you have a lot of sodium, your weight may increase for a few days or so.
  • I'm on 1200 currently. It's actually quite hard for me to get to some days with large burns (I try to do an hour of Zumba almost every day with some toning mixed in). As long as I'm not too far under I don't stress, just in case I over estimated burn or under estimated my food intake. The biggest thing is that everyone is…
  • Haha, next time!! It's definitely the little things. : )
  • Honestly, if you've ever smelled formaldehyde, just the thought of that possibility would make you sick to your stomach. That smell is burned into my brain. Eck. Kinda like my aunt telling me all hot dogs were cased in intestines. It was years till I ate one again, and then only skinless and charred on the grill.
  • I am eating animal crackers right now... I tend to eat around a third of my calories after dinner.
