Usually a good stiff drink :drinker: ... On a healthier note, cleaning or running. (Freudian, eh?)

Mmm - that list actually made my day! My all-time favorite donuts are French Crullers! (Followed by plain old-fashioned...) Fortunately, I've never been a fan of glaze or frosting.

Once Big Fish Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

Mmm - those look so good!

The snack of choice (I still eat this about once every few years) was a slice of bologna with a slice of american cheese, wrapped around a sweet pickle. Yep - totally reflective of my white trash upbringing, but delicious in a nostalgic kind of way.

Do it! I know it's nervewracking, but trust me on a couple things: 1. You'll be able to run farther than you think you can, when you're running with a whole group of other people (and you'll likely be a bit faster as well). 2. You may get passed by a lot of people - younger and older - but it's ok. It's a run, not a "race"…

I also am asthmatic and don't really sweat (as much as most people). My heart rate has always been higher than others' - if I went by the charts, I should have exploded by now. Doing C25K, my heart rate is typically between 180-185. That said, I think I'm becoming a bit more cardio-efficient, because today it was about 175…

Or the fact that you're right at or OVER your caloric goals every day. (I only went back about a week, but half of those days were over by 200-500 calories.)
-
Nevermind... dinner plans have changed... (BIG relief!)

Oh yes... There are a handful of things that are a bit pricier, but that are my "treats". 2 of my 3 teens don't grasp the concept of moderation - so something that I can have every once in a while (and it'll last a couple weeks or more), they'll polish off in an afternoon. :explode: They now ask before they eat or drink…

Uh - my kids started worrying about brands at about jr high age... which is about when I recall becoming aware of them. For my kids, they got a healthy dose of budgeting lessons about this age. They were told that they could choose clothing from these brands, but that the budget does not automatically expand to accomodate…

I'm going to second what kyomoon said. I've got 3 teenagers (2 boys) and a husband, all with HUGE appetites. I feed all 5 of us [very well] for under $100/week (and that includes pet food and paper goods). Buy the meat that's on clearance, get veggies that are overripe and freeze them yourself. Find the local discount…

Hooray for a new dinner that I didn't have to go shopping for.... looking forward to trying this tonight! :)

In looking at your diary, you've been over by a couple/few hundred calories for about half the days over the past 2 weeks... coupled with lots of processed foods, and possibly too little water intake and (potentially, as someone pointed out earlier, the quick-add calories that may be estimated) - this would likely explain…

This is how I approach it... I allow indulgences in a controlled way... otherwise, I'd end up going all out and eating a ton of cr@p. Sour Cream and Onion Pringles are a lifesaver! (As are the Hebrew National 97% FF hot dogs.)
-
I frequently add it in mine. (Although I'll make just about anything spicy, given the chance...)
-
Yep. Also - my experience with the "mad-craving" scenarios is that I've been eating too little for (usually 3-4 days) prior. Not sure what you're eating, but maybe a bit of planning for treats, combined with upping your calorie goals...
-
Funny - I'm eating it right now. One of my favorites is to mix a packet of ranch dressing (the dry mix) with a 16 oz container and use it as a dip for veggies. (it's also sinfully good with chips, but I digress...)

Kut from the Kloth and Jag are both amazing (Jag Paley Petite is my favorite...)! I also love Dockers Metro Denim trousers...

Exactly what I needed to see! It's on for tomorrow! Thanks!

I generally add about 1/4 lb of hot italian sausage. When it's divided among all the servings, it's not many extra calories at all, and adds a TON of flavor.
-
Too funny - I was going to recommend coffee. ;-) If you're not opposed to artificial sweeteners, you can use the sugar free syrups (Torani, DaVinci, etc) to flavor it up a bit... Or, stevia and cocoa powder?

If she puts enough milk in it, it can be.

1) I literally don't know how to use the machines. I biked a little, and then moved to a treadmill. But I only walked. I varied my speed from 3.0-3.3 mph. That was a nice, brisk pace for me. I wanted to try jogging a bit, but I am afraid to go faster to start jogging. I am not really sure what speed to shoot for, and I…

Marking for later... Love quinoa, and the only thing I ever do is boil it plain! :)
-
Mine's open to friends... I'm at 1200/day.
-
Yep! 5'1", need to drop [at least 20, preferably 30] pounds. Working on being ok with going at it the slow and steady way...

Nice to meet you.

Had this one for lunch today... divine! http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/chopped_salad.html

I made this last night, and it was DEVOURED! Really simple and tasty... http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/chicken_with_green_olives_prunes.html My standby chicken is to take boneless skinless breasts, season with salt, pepper and rosemary and pan-sear. It tastes SO decadent! (Even better if you make a bit of sauce with ff…
