  • Very interesting . . . and unfortunate that I just ate some greens with pasta!
  • kimchee mung bean pancakes, vegetarian split pea soup, Thai shrimp/pork balls over pasta, chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, steamed broccoli, garlic roasted zucchini, lemon/kale millet
  • I think it all depends on when and why you eat sugar. When I eat it when I'm tired or stressed, I can't stop myself and overdo. When I just have some dessert when I'm with friends and relaxed, I find I often can't finish the whole thing. If I haven't eaten well that day, then forget having any control. I'm a teacher, and…
  • Don't know if you'd like it, but sesame tahini dressing is somewhat thicker, if you like that flavor. Lemon juice, tahini, a little soy sauce, some crushed garlic, maybe a little cider vinegar. Good luck.
  • It's kinda cool how much this site helps. I wish you all the best in your weight loss efforts. Take care.
  • Welcome, and best of luck to you on your continued weight loss journey!
  • Have some in the fridge right now. Tasty stuff.
  • Very cool! Congrats!
  • Headed back to work to attend a science fair and cheer on students. Just ate dinner. Ignoring the brownies in the kitchen.
  • This site is pretty nifty. Even though I haven't made huge progress, I'm monitoring what I do better and making more informed choices, which is helpful. Best of luck to you!
  • Congratulations!
  • I tend to eat weird in the evenings when I'm really tired and finally have a minute to myself, or haven't eaten enough during the day. The tired thing really gets me, because I just start grazing and next thing I know I've hit several food groups, plus a generous portion of sugar, fat, and salt.
  • Yes, indeedy! Might just have some now.
  • I know what you mean about stress, transition, and school lunch! I teach junior high choir and theater, which I love but certainly takes a bit of energy. I think planning planning planning is the key. If I get behind with sleep, start having coffee instead of breakfast, forget lunch, buy a cookie, fast food on the way home…
  • butter bacon chocolate or at least not on a regular basis!
  • I'm reading a book called, "The End of Overeating". It talks about how fat, sugar, and salt in supersaturated amounts hits the same pleasure hormones of dopamine and opioids, much like drug addiction, and this has been capitalized on by the food industry. In reference to how hard mice will work for foods high in both sugar…
  • This is a great site. I wish you all the best in your journey.
  • Yay! What a nice discovery!

  • Most of the glasses I have in my house hold a little over 16 oz. of water each. The "glasses" of water everyone refers to are based on a standard 8 oz glass, which equals a cup. I wonder if you're unintentionally drinking twice as much as you're supposed to if you're literally drinking "glasses" of water. Get out the old…
  • I have produce from a community garden share, so yesterday I had heaps of chopped patty pan summer squash, chopped broccoli, and walla walla sweet onions sauteed in a little olive oil with salt /pepper and basil/oregano/marjoram with a couple of scrambled eggs thrown in, and fresh fava beans. A cup of blueberries…
  • just wonderful, inspirational, and AWESOME!
  • Homemade chocolate chip cookies, which are easy enough to avoid -I don't make them! Usually I crave things when: 1. I'm tired and I need more sleep. 2. I haven't had good veggies, fruit, and protein. 3. I'm upset or stressed and want to feel happier. But if you offer me a sheet of warm gooey friendliness with organic…
  • There's a company called Title Nine Sports that sells all women's sporty clothes, and they have multiple bra selections, categorized by degree of support, up to immobile and bounce free. Models include "The Bounceless Bra," "The Last Resort," and "The Hallelujah Bra" - perhaps you might find some help there? I am not…
  • I'm not a doc, just a goofy junior high music teacher, but when was the last time you had your thyroid checked? My friend had similar complaints, and found out she had low thyroid. Side effects are weight gain, constipation, lack of energy, and depression. She would eat mega fiber and no BM business. Got thyroid help and…
  • Under Friday's entry, it mentions that the drama coach or the choir director would have made a softer landing - what if I'm both?!?!? Hee-hee.
  • This is a great website, so could you please not put comments like "that is gay." Believe what you will, but comments like that really don't support my idea of thoughtful or positive that you quote in your first paragraph. I do wish you luck in your quest for health.
