  • Some people are poor? Heh, no idea. I am not passing on food, ty. :D
  • What a helpful comment, really...
  • These posts make me SO thankful my girlfriend doesn't have these issues. 5'1" and eats 1400 calories on down days, like 1900 on workout days.
  • I didn't see a reply that gave this information exactly for the Biggest Loser part. (FYI, you're an idiot if you buy that, it doesn't even make sense to be a long term success.) http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/40423712/ns/today-entertainment/t/biggest-loser-where-are-they-now/#.T797xdVfESU Will it work? Possibly, but…
  • Solid break down here. I agree, re-assess goal and go for a higher number. Scale number is just a weight, it isn't a definition of anything else. I bet you would be surprised how you look at that 181 with a good BF%!
  • Basically doing this aiming for 130 or whatever would be bad because your goal is now lower than what your lean muscle mass(non-fat) is and thusly your scale number would drop, but so would your lean mass.
  • Something to put out there... The total number weight is kind of over valued. 170 pounds at 20% BF vs 170 pounds at 12% BF looks quite a bit different. (34 lbs of fat vs 20.4 lbs of fat). People losing weight a lot of time sacrifice lean body mass to get that number down. More lean mass maintaining while losing fat will…
  • First person to even catch it. I meant to say I am less likely to say hi/approach people I felt were unattractive. I also never get looks from girls, and I am sure my weight had to do with it. Luckily I had other qualities to offer to overcome that. Doesnt mean I an going to be treated any different than how I look. I've…
  • Well at least some people understand I was just being honest. I love how just about everyone who read what I said as awful turned to a personal attack on me. As if I care. I am here to lose weight, holy crap there is a revelation. I never consider someone a bad person because they are unhealthy, I just don't find it…
  • I'll assume you meant me. Did you miss the part where I said under weight/sickly skinny was unattractive as well? I said I'd only take skinny over fat, but I'd pass on both. (And have, for a few years in my life.)
  • Yeah, I am not shallow at all. I find plenty of females attractive. But apparently knowing what I find attractive makes me a shallow jerk, so be it. I am happy, I know what I want, and I certainly don't care if I offend random people on the internet. Oh and as for the "I'm not small" thing. Oh really? I didn't notice...…
  • You can lose weight eating anything...
  • Holy **** this thread is just uber stupid. People care way too much about defining, go ****ing live life and stop this nonsense. I'm going to eat now, have a good day.
  • Holy crap Bodylogix has a lot of stuff in it that I can't read...
  • Googling whey protein with stevia turned up some results. First one was Jay Robb stuff... There are also a Primal Protein mix that is natural stuff. You're going to get screwed hard on cost though.
  • Medium isn't really a good information base. Medium will vary depending on place. I think a standard medium is usually 10" pizza. Also crust is going to make a HUGE difference. A thin crust pizza is half the carbs of a regular crust. Ultimately I would just do a quick add of like 250 calories and be careful on the day. I…
  • Well you're training for a competition... Expect to have to do more. Sodium will cause water retention which will soften your definition and look. (I am assuming anyway from my little knowledge.) You are shooting for a hard task, going to require sacrifice. Every day, this would be kind of foolish IMO. But for what you're…
  • I have dropped the great majority of grains from my diet. (occasional intake, but I do really want to just get rid of them 100%.) I also have lowered my carbs in general and try to stick to around 100g a day. The sugars I get are from natural sources only. For me, it has had a great effect on how I feel. I have no problems…
  • If you are in spots where you have to worry about this stuff THIS much, you are living so poorly. Not trying to insult you, but you clearly are making poor decisions if this is really something to think about. I also feel like you have insecurity issues. I just don't get who would want to live with this thought process.…
  • So you slept for 8 hours with no food. You then wait another 4-4.5 hours before more food, so effectively half of your day you are not eating. I subscribe to "if you're not hungry, don't eat." But it probably would be a good idea to get something in your stomach before doing a workout in the morning. Your body is going to…
  • I'm in better shape than average population. I have a nice car. I don't want stupid people dinging my car. I look for spots that are about 5-8 spots away from the pack anyway.
  • I do not have resources... But my current personal experience. I have started drastically reducing my intake. I occasionally have buns with burgers, eat pizza weekly(though that will be stopping after this previous weekend). I can personally tell you that I feel MUCH better under a reduced intake of these kinds of…
  • Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey and Casein. I am going to start using as a morning supplement. Currently use 1 serving whey pre workout, 1 whey post workout+1 casein post workout as well.
  • before and after, also casein is a great one for after to go with it. (Slower protein, will help supply protein to muscles through out the night.) If you're trying to lose pounds by adding definition, that is unlikely to work. You're likely pretty low on BF% anyway, so as you start adding muscle to get that definition…
  • I prefer my weight to be deceptive personally. I am always under judged on my weight by people. I suspect once I drop this weight and put on muscle, that is going to happen more. I played hockey and did martial arts some, so I would rather a person misjudge their approach on me and I feel a leaner beefier me would make it…
  • As for calorie difference... I don't think this is nearly as big of a deal as it is made out to be. 1 cup of egg v 1 cup of egg white, only like 100 calorie difference. And I am skeptical people are eating that much egg in their day unless they are egg people or are eating them with a purpose.
  • I think you misunderstand egg a little bit... The protein is in the egg white(great majority). I'd also argue against the whole good fat statement. The only issue I have with the fats is the O6 v O3 imbalance, but fish fixes that.
  • http://news.menshealth.com/the-best-breakfast-for-men/2012/04/26/?cm_mmc=Twitter-_-MensHealth-_-Content-MHNews-_-eateggs Do I need to say anymore? I eat all the egg now after being anti-yolk for cholesterol issues. About 2 weeks ago common sense made me go "This is something that would CREATE a creature, odds are pretty…
  • I recommend eating some of those calories. It isn't a huge deal as it is a one time thing. But you're basically asking an engine to run at 100% on a 75% tank of fuel. Again, not a big deal, but I would take the chance to eat a nice healthy snack.
  • My HRM certainly would disagree....
