Ok. Your BMR is 1243, you have to multiply it by your activity level to get your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure, for example, 1.2 is the multipler for sedentary). BMR is just what your body needs to live if you don't do any activity. So you use your TDEE and THEN get your defecit.

I like string cheese. It's fun.

So do it. Everyone on MFP freaks out about that, but it most certainly is doable. I used to eat at 1,150 but uppped it to 1300 because I was losing a bit faster than I wanted. People on here are fear mongers. It is ridiculous to say that every female, regardless of height, age, etc, has the same minimum 1200 requirement.…

I am not saying one shouldn't get divorced (or, preferrably annulled) in some of the extreme circumstances. I am saying I wouldn't get remarried after going through that, because obviously I didn't do a good job of picking the first time.
-
"Circumstancs" is not 'till death, now is it?
-
No. Because I date to get married, and I am not promising "till death" to someone who has already illustrated that marraige doesn't mean that.

Uhm, I think from most people's BASIC understanding, UNDERweight= unhealthy just like OVERweight= unhealthy. On MFP the BMI calculator very clearly shows the space in between "Under" and "Over" as the "HEALTHY" range, thereby indicating from the process of deduction that anything NOT in the "HEALTHY" range is "UN-healthy."…

This type of behavior is either ignorance or (in your sister's case), jealousy. Sisters are especially bad when it comes to being competitive with looks/weight/significant others. I feel for you lady. Family can be the best or the worst; their cuts are the deepest, whether it is about weight or anything else. It is…

"A few more pounds" becomes a disorder when it would put you in the unhealthy range. Duh. :noway: You must me mistaken ma'am, I have never encouraged people to restrict calories under 1,000. I have frequently combatted the whole "eat more to lose more regime" because I think it is a farce, but that is another topic than…

This is when PLANNING (WOW, EVERY TIME so and so has to pee so maybe I should PLAN on scheduling TIME FOR IT) should come into effect! *face palm*

I agree, I find those that are cronically late A) bad at time management and B) disrepectful. And they always have an excuse like "traffic was SO BAD." Unless there is an emergency, there is NO excuse for being late except for poor planning. EVERYONE has the same amount of hours in a day and EVERYONE is busy. Thinking you…

^This Went through a very dark time in my life with depression...moving to a warmer climate where I can get outside and get sunlight helped alot, although I did go through therapy & meds too. My dad has always had issues with depression and he recently got a SAD lamp and that helps. Being aware of it and learning my…

In Montana, we "don't have electricity, use outhouses, and ride horses around." (Which for MOST of us is entirely untrue, but there are still a few in the rural areas who might sort of qualify, lol.) I have even heard people say they don't know where MT is, which is kind of funny, because it is the 4th largest state in the…

Finding Nemo. Pretty sure this is the only show I am going to let my kids watch because it encourages family values and doesn't shove romance down their throat like almost every other traditional kid cartoon.:ohwell: There are alot of other ones bucking that trend from Pixar, like Up, love it!

Uhm, ok, have you had meth too? This type of argument is extremely flawed.

I would not be in a relationship with someone who though it was ok to go to a strip club. To me, sexuality is something wonderful and private between a couple, it isn't something you flaunt and share with total strangers. Yes, we have "needs," no, it doesn't mean you should fulfill them in every way possible. I am in a…

You only HAVE to eat them back if you are eating very few calories to start with, like at the minimum 1,200. If you don't want to eat them back, don't. People tend to be fear mongers.

"Hold up guys, I have to get into my work out clothes..."?!?! I don't see many people playing pick up in slacks or jeans.... Just playing devil's advocate.
-
Lol, why? because a watch like mechanism will get in the way of your mad skillz?

3000 cals burned....VERY unlikely as far as I could guess. Treadmills are bad estimators too.. ANY time you use an average estimator for things, it is going to be inaccuate. Get a Heart Rate Monitor if you want to have an accurate burn rate. Otherwise, eat your cals burned back with caution....

Since you are man, show him. Boys have to be alot older usually to potty train than girls though so keep that in mind. It helps if it is summer and you can just let him run around without diapers/bottoms so he is more aware of himself peeing. It might be messier but it works quickly.

MFP's default protein setting is pretty low.. from what I have heard alot of people reccomend 40% carbs 30% protein 30% fats if you are working out, I think it starts out at 20% protein? To get more precise: you are supposed to have 1 gram of protein per kg of weight (2.2 lbs in kg). Fats should be anywhere between 20-30%.…

I know what you mean, sometimes it is a pain to have all this "equipment" everywhere you go. Phones are bad enough. BUT, I did just hear this weekend that my girlfriend has had her Polar HRM for 11 years and she still loves it. So you don't have to upgrade if you don't want, as long as it still works.....often it depends…

Interesting thought: A study done recently shows the makeup makes you look "more competent and trustworthy," unless you wear too much, and then it just makes you look like a you-know-what. I think this is probably because it is socially expected for women to wear a bit of makeup, and if they aren't it is often times when…

I have seen as much as 30% overages according to other posters. It definitely fluctuates from machine to machine. How come you are so set against a HRM? Just curious.

Hallo! Might want to join the "Not-That-Heavy-Girls" group. Good luck on your journey! You can do it!
-
I don't think I will be able to beleive it....every day when I get on the scale I am STILL having "sticker shock" lol. :noway: A new swimsuit might be fitting. But I know that being at my goal isn't a real finish line, it is the start of my maintenance journey. Can't wait for that day!

Inspiring!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go girl, keep it up! :flowerforyou:

Stay strong lady, the prayers are coming your way.

I am suggesting that the slower people see progress, the more difficult it is to keep up with the program, that is a basic human principal. If someone told you it would take you a year to lose one pound, I bet you wouldn't be happy with that. I clearly said "I" would not be happy with 1/2 lb a week, but everyone has…
