No. My advice would be to make sure that they are drinking enough water and make that they are eating "good" foods not junk.

Here is my two cents 1. Large breakfast 2. Medium lunch 3. Small dinner work well but make sure that you're eating enough that you don't feel lightheaded and make sure to drink enough water. What you might find is that your food needs change as you shed those pounds so be on the look out for that.
