I usually eat my biggest meal right before bed. It's awesome :)

How is that a binge? It sounds like you probably just maintained.

Not sure - 16/8 has worked very well for me, but everyone's different. I don't get hungry during the day and never have, so I usually have my first meal at 3 or 4 pm, then my last meal anywhere from 10 to 12, depending. I'm not super strict about my window or hours or anything. I don't know if there's a group on here. I'm…

That's one of the ways to do it. I usually do a 16-8 fast and find it pretty easy to do on a daily basis. Others will do a 24 hour fast a couple of times a week and eat normally the other days.

I make hot chocolate using one cup of unsweetened almond milk (35 calories), 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder (10 calories), and 1 or 2 Splendas. Sometimes I use sugarfree hazelnut Torani syrup and one Splenda. Just heat it up in the microwave. It's amazing! You could use your sweetener of choice though, or you…

You absolutely will do damage to your body if you continue eating that little. You're starving yourself and you need to eat more even if you aren't hungry. Figure out your TDEE and try for a 500 calorie deficit. I eat between 1500 and 2000 depending on whether I exercise.

Are you eating enough fat?

mine are: coffee peanut butter coconut oil strawberries eggs bananas cucumber egg whites avocado almond milk :)

google "Atkins one minute flaxseed muffin," those are pretty great!

Did it for a year and lost 60 pounds. I didn't notice a faster rate of loss or anything like that. In the end the main thing is going to be that calorie deficit. IF is just a tool that helps some people achieve that deficit. It's not for everyone. I started doing it because I've never been a breakfast person, I rarely if…

Anyway, OP, my family is Muslim and what my parents do every year is eat very lightly when they first break their fast (like soup and salad or something), then they go pray and wait a little bit, like 30 minutes or so until they eat a second, larger meal. They don't go crazy with the sweets and fattening foods like a lot…

WTF?

I love the chocolate and vanilla flavors!

Great, I've been losing at about a 6 pound per month pace for over a year. It would…

I've done the tofu chocolate pudding too! I also like mixing protein powder into greek yogurt or cottage cheese. Sometimes I make muffins or homemade protein bars with it too. Proteinpow.com is a really good site for ideas.

beans, lentils, chickpeas, oats = filling and delicious

I've lost a total of 87 pounds from my high weight eating ~1800 calories, including lots of carbs. I have eaten lower carb many times throughout the journey and never noticed a difference in rate of actual fat loss. Water weight, yes, but like the person above says, glycogen isn't fat! I definitely think Taubes is right…

If you're staying on track with your calories, it's probably not the protein doing it, it's the exercise. Your muscles are just retaining water. Power through it, make sure you're hydrated and it'll go back down in a couple of days. When I start lifting weights after a while of not doing them I can "gain" up to five pounds…

Jay Robb Whey is what I use, very clean ingredients, only 1 carb, tastes good = I'm pretty happy with it. I don't really eat meat too often but I usually get about 130 g of protein a day, some of the things I eat are: tuna, whole eggs, egg whites, various cheeses (cottage cheese is AMAZING for protein), greek yogurt, nuts,…

The bigger you are, the more weight you have to lose before dropping a size. I think it took me around 30 pounds to get from a size 16 to a 14, and about 20 to go from a 14 to a 12, and then only like 15 or so to get to a 10. Once you get under double digit sizes it's more like 5-10 pounds, I believe

Greek yogurt is great and I don't think you should cut it out! But have you ever tried it plain? It's actually really good once you get used to it . . . Raw fruits and veggies aren't "needed" for weight loss - all you really need is a deficit - but I think they can help a lot, and IMO they are pretty necessary for overall…

Seems like you're eating an awful lot of sugar. At your weight and the calorie level according to your diary, you should still be losing though, even if you were eating nothing but sugar. I think you're probably underestimating your calorie levels. Are you weighing and measuring out everything you eat? And then even if you…
-
Not exactly sure, but definitely not any lower than 140 with my frame :)
-
Nope, it's a myth. Meal timing doesn't really matter much. In fact, you could eat the majority of your calories after 7 pm if you wanted and still lose weight if you were in a deficit.
-
Totally false statement alert.

It's great that you were making better food choices, but weight loss is about calories. You could have been making healthy choices and still eating at maintenance or a surplus. Healthy is not the same as eating at a deficit, and you need a deficit to lose weight. Back to your calories . . . If you are finding it difficult…

I'd say so. When I was in the 200s I lost about 2 pounds a week by cutting my daily calories to 1800-2000. You burn a lot more calories when you're that heavy. 1240 probably puts you at an unreasonably large deficit, and that can be unsustainable if you have a lot of weight to lose. When you say you "weren't following the…

5'7, large frame, ultimate goal is between 140 and 145.

Are you weighing and measuring everything you eat? Are you logging every bite that goes into your mouth? Most people vastly underestimate their calorie intake. If you really are eating only 750 calories a day, no, that is not okay by any means, you are starving yourself and damaging your body.

I like mixing in sliced strawberries and vanilla protein powder and having it as a sort of dessert. It's really good :)
