  • Hi Merry! Welcome! Feel free to add me as your friend. I love sharing with the people here, we encourage each other and share ideas, tips and help each other on this journey! Yes, it does work!
  • Wooohooo...YAY you is right! This works..stick with it ...:flowerforyou:
  • A nive bowl of fresh mixed fruit!
  • Honestly, I cannot figure why you would not loose weight with all the water and execise you are doing! Perhaps you should see your Dr. Have you ever had a problem with edema (water retension)? Also, try eating a handful of almonds a couple of times a day for some healthy additional calories. Good luck!
  • Thank you, I stand corrected. I can see your point. However, for myself, counting calories and being able to eat a variety of foods staying within a partucular range is what works. We are all on the same journey and it really doesn't matter the path we take as long as it works for us. Good luck Georgia!
  • Well, there is no counting calories on the Harcombe diet...so are you leaving us? Good luck and let us know how you like it!
  • One medium sized rutabaga and 6 carrots..cut, boil them together, drain and then mash using a hand mixer with a little skim milk & a little butter (butter optional)...VERY low in calories and is a great substitute for potatoes on the plate..colorful too!
  • That happens now and then, especially when you have excercise calories available. I don't think it's necessary to "eat them" just because you have them. As long as it's not consistent I wouldn't fret about it. I find that when I leave calories uneaten (within reason) I loose more weight that week. Keep up the good work!
  • Welcome! This is a wonderful place to be!
  • OMG..you need to change the location of your desk or the "Treat Desk." I also get these constant cravings at times and find myself "counting the minutes." One thing that sometimes helps ime s to drink a large quantity of water (in large gulps)...get up, take a walk, change your routine, clear your head and drink more…
  • Hang in there, you need to find healthy snacks that are satisfying! There are recipies to make your own chinese food in a healthy way..if you have rice have brown rice..I do not think you should count any calories that you did not eat yesterday..I think if you stay within your calorie goal each day you may find that you do…
  • Well. I think we all get to this point from time to time. Not sure a string of days is a good idea, what's a string? One, two, three or more? I myself have taken a break from exercise now and then and gone over on calories here and there, but I think the key is to shake it off, and just go right back to the plan..no…
  • If you don't want to eat any more today, don't. You may want more tomorrow! I don't think you should make a habit of eating less though. I find that on the days that I exercise and have more calories to consume I do get hungrier, however, I try not to eat all of those extra calories if I can help it! Also, drink as much…
  • You CAN do this! Start slow..eat everything you like..you will figure it out as you go..and drink ALOT of water!!
  • Yes, I add the bread and then the ingredients individually..for instance..for chicken salad I would add as follows: bread chicken (in oz.) mayo or spread celery onion and so on. Hope this helps! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Nutrition Facts For Foods

  • Shower and walk in the sun! You may have to force yourself to do this but it does help. If there is no sun where you live than look into a lamp for artificial sunlight...good luck to you, this too shall pass...
  • Not sure why you don't get calories added back when you exercise. That doesn't sound right. Are you sure you are adding the excercise correctly? I thought it was a given that you would get calories added if you excercise. BTW - I find I loose more if I don't eat the additional calories but once in while it's nice to be…
  • Yes, I do use one and it makes a big difference! I purchased a Cuisenart and I love it! It weighs up to 6 lbs. It has a TAR feature and you can also weigh in grams. There is a removable stainless steel plate as well.
