Smart step: Don't decide to go to the gym. Never decide to go to the gym. It is too HARD to have to decide to go to the gym each time. Make it a routine like you do with work. You're not deciding to go to work each day, you just go because you have a set time to go there and things that you do once you're there and a set…

before you got married, you had a goal: look good in wedding dress & pictures. Now that the wedding is done, no more pressure or motivation. Here's motivation: You'll look the same as you used to, before you worried about looking good in a wedding dress, if you don't watch what you eat and exercise! And you'll get…

Just because I LOVE the shoes in your profile pic and hoping you can hook me up .... here's a friend request! PS. I think I'm a good motivator and can use some occasional motivation myself!

And why are you torturing yourself by walking into a bakery? Gosh, you are very good if you didn't buy anything... I think I would gain 5lbs with just the SMELL of all that freshly baked bread... I'd never walk in one of those on purpose! The thing is, if you use this as a treat for 10lbs, you might want more and more and…

Wow! great job!

I guess there's just us 2 that punch away :) I was thinking, you could always buy a dvd, something like Billy Banks or similar and do the workout using the punching bag. You can kick it and punch it.. oh.. is it one you hang or one standing. I guess you could only kick a standing one... I'm sure you could find a dvd or…

Well, I've been doing a lot of pushups and pullups (assisted!) through P90X and I really see a difference on my back. I also do a kickboxing class which consists of a lot of punching too, which I really feel in my back the following day! I notice that the more I lose weight, I am more critical of these bumps. I lost like…

I HATE BACK-BOOBS! I'm working hard on losing them myself! I had a shirt on this morning, a very light pink shirt. As I was about to leave the house I glanced at the mirror and returned the shirt back to it's hanger. I could see the bumps on my back. Pictures are not fun to take but can do wonders for motivation. I take…

I do it but not at home. I do it at a dojo. It's a fun calorie burning workout! And, I feel so energized when I'm done.. not to mention more patient! Have fun!
-
Good job! You look great and since you didn't have much to lose, it was tough! Keep up the workouts and running.. you will have a very fit body in no time!

If MFP gave you 1200 calories, it's probably because you have set your goal weight loss/week too high... like 2lbs+/week. It depends how much you weight currently . I would lower the weight loss goal (to 1 or .5/week) and that will up your daily calorie a bit. And then, you have your workout calories on top of that.

Gatineau in the House! LOL!

YES! YES! YES! 100% with you. Effort = Results. PS> Love this: the bull$hit you're feeding me is putting me over my calories for the day. I might put that in my signature.

Congrats on your weight loss. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work. You did great. Personally, I don't think you should lose more. You look great! Losing more weight, I think you may look skinny, and start to look sick. I suggest you to start maintaining your weight and start strenght training. I would strongly…

It's a huge difference! Be proud! Pretty unbelievable for 90 days, huh? Are you wearing the same pants? See how small(stretched!) the tag/size thingy is in the first pic and then look at the second pic! You've lost like 20lbs and a lot of inches! It's great!
-
So funny! I never really noticed before but I will from now on! now.. excuse me while I go check the pics I posted! ( 'fingers crossed'!)
-
Just go! You will kick yourself in the *kitten* when you see the not-so-skinny pretty face 'replacing' you! Who cares about weight, it's the music and the persona. Do it for me who has no musical talent or skill whatsoever but I am a concert junkie and love music!

I had shin pain before also. It is frustrating and painful. I did some calf/shin exercises every other day, low weights to build up the muscle. Here are a few workouts: cable dorsi flexion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVFoDx07jGA&feature=grec_index or see this one:…

Bump! I would like to hear what people suggest for post workout snacks! I like hummus/veggies and cottage cheese but I'm sure there more out there!
-
Are you following the diet also? And which one are you doing, classic or lean? Keep at it. It's a good program. You might be sore for the first couple of weeks but it gets easier... that's when you up the weights  I am not doing the food part, just logging in my food on MFP. I am doing the classic, I'm starting…

What my brain says has a lot to do with weight loss, maintain or gain. Whenever I'm motivated to lose, when I NEED to lose, I lose. Whenever I have lost and get to my 'weight comfort zone' I tend to slack off and remain at comfort weight for a while, then gain again and start the damn cycle again! I need to get out of the…

Excellent! Dancing is so much fun and now you know what you were missing!!! And dancing also takes self confidence... !!! Congrats on the NSV!

I do see a big difference, good job! You should be proud! Ahh! and thanks so much for posting this! I was bummed out because my scale hasn't budged in 4 weeks.. and I'm doing P90X also, on week 7! From what I can see, you weight hasn't changed much but your waist/stomach/breast sure have! Thanks! :flowerforyou:

Hi, welcome to MFP. It's a great website and you will make friends quickly! (add me if you wish) I suggest you go check out the Success Story's and you will get lots of inspiration there!

This is how I set my heart rate ranges: from Wikipedia: HRmax = 220 − age So your range should look something like this: 65% intensity: (220 − (age = 36)) × 0.65 → 119 bpm 85% intensity: (220 − (age = 36)) × 0.85 → 156 bpm Calories burned can depend on how fit you are and/or how much you weight.

Are you rinsing your chest strap after each use and washing it about once a week (with laundry, but off course no dryer!)? Sweat particles dry up on the transmitter and prevent from transmitting. The instruction manuals recommend washing. Have you been cleaning your strap? Give it a good scrub and see what happens

I find her skinny too..not for me.. but I would love to own her back. I don't like her stomach. But it was more to illustrate that she didn't change her workouts..just her nutrition.
-
Good to see you have a plan! I am in pretty good shape myself, underneath a bit of fat that I'm trying to lose... I don't have difficulty getting exercise in, it's the nutrition part that will determine what I (and you) will look like at the end of 90 days. I tried getting in 2 workouts/day and although I felt proud to do…
