  • Thanks to all of you for replying to my post! Wow! I'm now excited to get to know you all! Today is a new beginning! Feels good to make new friends so easily  Now, let's keep each other in check!
  • I pretty much always eat a banana for it's energy boost and potassium/calcium/iron content which are essential, especially when lifting.
  • Wow! that's great! You are very close to goal and make sure you what it takes to maintain a healthy weight. to get there is one thing, to maintain it is another! Congrats! PS: I'm not at goal and no where near maintenance but slowly getting there!
  • I too work with a few people like that! They hardly eat and limit their food to rabit food. Off course they drop the weight, and quick! (which makes me very jealous also!) but they will gain it back. As soon as they have a bite of pasta/bread!!! And now, about 6 months later, I tell you that one of them has gained a good…
  • I started the program today. I'm looking for 1 or 2 friends who just started Phase 1 for challenge, keep each other accountable and discuss workouts. Please send me a friend request ...
  • I'm am from NB and work in Ottawa. I like Greco Pizza (but prefer Pizza Delight!) but I also know Greco Lean & Fit. Tony will kick your buttocks! :) Good luck and friend me if you like. I've been here for about 2yrs. Weight loss has stalled but still trying and logging.
  • Wow.. anybody out there? LOL! I feel this way too Bill, a lot of times I'm not hungry but eat to meet requirements. Other times, I could eat a horse. I sometimes eat because I am going to the gym and feel like I need fuel to get my workout done but I'm not hungry.
  • you are not alone my friend. I have 2 young kids too, that wake up at night, sometimes often. I eat at night too. I feel fat and yucky in the morning after this. It needs to stop. I eat well all day, exercise on a regular basis and I I know this night eating screws up my whole weightloss. Friend me and we'll encourage each…
  • wow! I'm feeling the love!
  • i didn't get to weigh in yesterday because i didn't go to work (i use a co-worker's scale she has in her office) i will do it first thing monday morning. i had an ok week. although i have a cold, i worked out 3 of 5 days and i will go tomorrow. I completed my challenge from Faughorn. i was pretty excited yesterday. i had a…
  • Faughorn! I'm going to have to google One Leg Stands (are these standing against a wall, raising 1 leg up and squatting?) and Bird Dog.. never heard of that one! Thanks!
  • Hi FaugHorn! My partner didn't send me a challenge either. We only have until next Monday before we get a new challenge so if you want, I'll give you a 'little' challenge and you give me one :) I can't see your food diary so I will give you a workout challenge. I want you to work out your triceps this week. Do 3 sets of…
  • I haven't received my challenge yet. I did however challenge myself to workout this week although I have a bad cold and can hardly breathe through my darn nose!
  • My partners name is mjsamee: Since I can't see your food or exercise diary and I need to give you your challenge today (Monday), here goes: Food: no cheese for 1 week (I did this and it made me realize how much I snack on cheese and there is cheese on a lot of menu items at the restaurant!) Exercise: add the following 3…
  • I agree with this! let's do the % of weight loss. What's the challenge this week my friends?
  • I can't see your diary so have no clue what and how much you are eating. But if you are under calories and aren't hungry, try to stay as close to a net of 1200 minimum... I find eating almonds helps up calories and they are healthy. Plus, you don't have to be hungry to eat almonds, it's more of a munchies kind of food (for…
  • Hi girls! Well, I've had an ok week. I decided to do challenge #3, which is eating the same breakfast every morning. Although I did eat oatmeal/berries 2-3 times this week, I wasn't able to stick to it all week due to very early meetings at work. I also did some different exercise this week (challenge #1) by doing…
  • It's important to rest those muscles, take a break. One day a week is good enough for me, if I take longer breaks, it's very difficult to get motivated to start working out again! I just spent the last 20 min reading everybody's posts and I'm happy to see I'm not the only one struggling with weekends  I'm pretty good…
  • Sure. I would like to give it a try. I've never been part of a MFP challenge so hopefully it'll help meet my goals! My bio: I'm a mother of 2 girls (2 & 6) and work full time. I workout at lunch time. I do martial arts (Kickboxing) on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. I usually do weight training or a Combat (cardio) class on…
  • Hi. We all have busy lifes, work, kids, family, friends, cook, clean, etc... and the list, as you know, goes on and on. Excuses not to workout are plentiful. You have to make exercising about YOU! You need it to make you stronger and healthier. For me, I like doing kickboxing or high intensity cardio classes. I can't just…
  • I sent you a friend request. I like witty people... and looking good for the soccer coach too :blushing:
  • I don't think it's related to drinking more water.. more related to not eating it for a while and tasting it more (enjoying) when you do eat it  I quit dairy products about 3 weeks ago (due to weight loss stalling and wanted to change my diet a little). I had a piece of cheddar cheese 2 days ago and it tasted like a…
  • You have already come a long way since March! 50lbs is amazing! MFP is life changing. All the support we need and the success of others is very inspiring! Feel free to add me as a friend if you wish. I see we have a couple things in common: degree in criminology and love, love kickboxing!
  • I'm interested to see other posts as well! I would really like to do a few non-assisted pullups :) Not anywhere near but I started the 'assisted pull-up machine' at 90lbs and now I only use 60 so I'm slowly moving on up! I also did the 100 push up challenge (see http://hundredpushups.com/)
  • Here's my 2 cents. First off, congrats on your weight loss! You look fabulous! And you must feel great! I think if you like this guy, go out for coffee Tuesday. Wait after a few more dates, until he reaalllly likes you and then tell him the news. Judge by his reaction if he's worth it or not. He doesn't need to know this…
  • If you want to start running (intervals) check out Podrunner or MotionTraxx. They're nice because you walk/run along with the beat and when it's time to switch, you get a beep sound!
  • Milk is good. Comforting and refreshing (I also enjoy milk on ice!). Perfect with cookies. So, I've decided to quit drinking milk (and dairy products) until Halloween. Which will also make me quit eating cookies! After all, who eats cookies without milk? Hopefully I'll see a dip in the scale :)

  • I didn't eat any meat from 1997-1999. I didn't lose weight. I was healthy, felt ok. I was in Indonesia where I didn't trust or know what meat I was eating so I just didn't eat any. Now after reading this book, it makes me wonder if I should trust the meat I eat here in Canada. And, is organic is really organic? Is it also…
  • Hi! I'm from NB (Richibucto area) but I live in Gatineau, QC (Ottawa). I would love to have more Maritimer friends.. we're just a big family!
