  • I weigh in daily, but I only record it on MFP on Tuesdays. Tues is my "official" weigh in day, it keeps me honest during the weekend! Sometimes I weigh myself after I run just because I'm curious, but otherwise I weigh every morning.
  • I weigh in on Tuesdays...it sort of keeps me honest on the weekends. Also try to do my "long" workout on the weekends, too. For right now, while I'm losing, I don't indulge at all except my treat day once a week. For me that's not "losing weight behavior" so I just stay away for now and will save the once in a while…
  • Yes, I eat almost all of my exercise calories back...why do you think I exercise?!
  • 1c. cheerios, 4 large strawberries, 1/2c skim milk, 1/2tsp sugar, coffee + fat free creamer, 20oz water.
  • My 2 year old padding into our room and saying in her sweet little voice "Good morning mama...when are you going to make me breakfast?" Ug...it's a good thing she's cute!
  • I'm not a restaurant. That's my moto in my kitchen! Everyone eats the same meal most nights. The exceptions are like on "left-over" night we'll let the kids pick a left over meal to eat, everyone usually eats something different that night. On tomato soup and grilled cheese night, hubby and kids will eat that and…
  • Oh, this is interesting!! As a mother of 2 youngin's (5 & 2), I find it hard to keep their plate balanced. No, that's not right...*I* keep their plate balanced, but what they actually EAT isn't. They don't eat their veggies, they'd eat the same meal morning noon and night if they had their way, etc. I use to cook to cater…
  • Nice!! You may have just started a new office tradition!
  • Nicely done!! Don't be discouraged by the pace of the weight loss, you're obviously doing it RIGHT! You look fantastic!! :flowerforyou:
  • I use Pam spray on my popcorn. Spritz...salt...shake...spritz...salt...shake... works pretty well! I never remember to pick up the butter spray, but I always have Pam!
  • Drink water like it's going out of style!! Cut back on some of your sodium intake, too. :flowerforyou:
  • I can run 16:45 like a BOSS!! I'm pretty damn proud of it, too! I'd love to strap 100+ pounds on a marathon runner and see how fast they can run. Seriously, it's HARD when you're overweight, but I keep on truckin! :drinker:
  • I think I've found them on MFP by searching for half and half creamer, I think it comes up individuals?
  • Tuesdays are my "treat day" (I don't call it "cheat" because it's planned, lol...that's just me). I use to not log that day, except for once a few weeks ago...I was mortified! I'm now modifying my treat day to not be ALL day but a few treat items. This coming Tues I will log and see what it looks like. I, too, have an…
  • I make a pot of soup for the week a lot, too. I also pack left-overs from dinner. Chicken, mushroom and onion quesadillas are good (of course they're not as crispy at lunchtime as they are right when you make them, but they're still good.) Taco or chicken salads are good. All kinds of sandwiches!! Whole wheat english…
  • I'm in the US... IDK, I'm finding that my grocery bill is the same or lower than before. I tend to buy veggies and fruit in bulk (not prepackaged) and prepare them as soon as I get home. I also go to Sam's Club for our fruit, veggies and LC cheese because it's cheaper and we'll now eat everything before it goes bad. I meal…
  • I'd try to order something small or an app or soup for your dinner. And water water water!! I usually can find something similar to what I eat on MFP, so try that, too. But like others have said, just enjoy it, it's not going to blow you out of the water this one time. :)
  • I can't eat after dinner. This is MY own rule for ME, because it just triggers binge eating and that's never good...I mean, who binges on veggies??!! NOT ME! I know you can eat at any time of the day, but for me it's never good. I keep myself busy. Crochet, read, watch a movie, paint my toenails, play cards, take a…
  • Say you're lactose intolerant and can't eat mac & cheese and bring your own lunch! It's nobody's business what you eat or why, really. I'd just get a salad or whatever and if their feelings are hurt that's their problem.
  • OMG, that's amazing!!! So inspirational, thank you for sharing!! Nice chip-time, too!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Dude! There are so many!! Green beans: fresh green beans, sauteed in a bit of olive oil w/a pinch of sea salt, saute until tender/crisp (or to your liking). Spaghetti squash: poke with holes, bake at 350 for ~1 hour, scoop out and serve either with a bit of butter/salt/pepper, or a little brown sugar for something sweet,…
  • I am SOOOO glad to read this post! First off, good for you!! That is such a great accomplishment! :flowerforyou: Second, I'm so glad you talked to your doctors and you all have come to the conclusion that you're at YOUR goal weight! I lost 75+ pounds years ago and was just 20 pounds away from what I thought was my…
  • In no particular order: coffee + fat free creamer (because with me they are as one) cheerios bananas skim milk laughing cow cheese apples lettuce saltines yogurt strawberries (a recent addition!)
  • I know what you're talking about!!!! When I have these days, I try to eat things that take a while to eat. Like hot soup, veggies + dip, or those wasabi almonds (they're too spicy to just gobble them up!). I also try to take note as to the "why" of it. Did I eat the wrong kinds of foods the previous day/earlier in the day?…
  • bump!
  • I'm finding that I feel better throughout the day with a bigger lunch. Not sure why, but I just go with it! When I run I run in the evenings, so a big dinner just makes me feel bogged down. I've also noticed if I have a big dinner I tend to go overboard and/or I want to snack all evening long. I try to do 400-500cals for…
  • I typically meal plan for the week and shop either Sundays or Mondays (my days off). I usually make something "in bulk" for my lunches for the week so I don't have to worry about it. For example: Next week: Lunches: Minestrone soup (Shore Lunch brand, won't have time for homemade) Monday: roasted chicken w/basil, roasted…
  • GROOOOOOSS!!! The other day at Perkins they had a maple muffin with bacon on top and I almost puked. I don't get the whole bacon thing.
  • I always plan my meals/snacks the day before or that morning. When I get to work I log everything for the entire day (I don't have a computer at home so I do it at work). I then know where I'm sitting for calories, and how much exercise I REALLY need to do. It all keeps me on track and I find myself NOT thinking…
  • A few things I have done that have helped me: * I eat cheerios every day. If I run out (like I did this morning, gah!!) I eat something like bran flakes. * Eat more fruits and veggies. * Drink water like it's going out of style! * Exercise at least 30 min every day. Even a walk will help you. * I cut out eggs pretty much…
