  • Hello! I just ordered the 21 day fix "kit". I don't know why, but I hesitated to press that order button. I'm afraid I'm going to fail! When I get that box, I'll be excited! :) Looking forward to checking in here! :)
  • Scale said I gained 5# between Thursday morning and today. Drinking water water water today!! No more stuffing/dressing so THAT temptation is gone, thank God!!
  • I say this very seriously...when I get the munchies at night, I go to bed. I don't eat after dinner because it'll just spiral into a binge, so if drinking water, crocheting, reading, running, and/or gardening hasn't helped me, I just throw in the towel and go to bed.
  • YAY!!!:flowerforyou:
  • I usually do left overs or soup. Once a week I try to make a crockpot soup for my lunches...yum!
  • I think a toasted english muffin with garlic laughing cow cheese and tuna, some carrots, and some fruit. Might make some airpopped popcorn for my "chips", yum!
  • My kids are picky in my eyes, and I've just done the "eat this or nothing" approach. I'm not a restaurant!! I'm not going to make 3 different meals! Many times they'll eat their fruit and declare they're finished...ok, fine, but there's nothing after dinner (even dh and I don't eat/snack after dinner) so if you're REALLY…
  • 1.) I'll usually make a crockpot of soup on Sundays and eat that all week with a piece of fruit and either a piece of bread or some crackers. 2.) Whole wheat english muffin, laughing cow cheese, good lunchmeat, lettuce, tomato, served with something like popchips, and a piece of fruit 3.) Stir Fry! 4.) Breakfast foods for…
  • How about breakfast for dinner (or "brinner" in our house)? It's cheap and it's easy. Eggs, pancakes, quiche, baked oatmeal, etc.
  • Arnold looks like crap.
  • Huh...so the 42 pounds I've lost is just my imagination?? Huh...so the "on top of the world" feeling I get when I finish a 5K is pointless?? ...whatever...
  • I'm probably in the minority here, but I use margarine. Butter has 7g of saturated fats per tablespoon, and considering I'm suppose to only have *8* g's of sat. fats PER DAY, I'll stick to my margarine, thanks!
  • You definitely have to put your foot down if you want this bad enough. Different people need different fuel for their bodies. His can survive on junk. Your body cannot. Let him eat that crap, but YOU eat what YOU need to eat. Don't be bullied into eating junk just because you can't speak up for yourself. Put your big girl…
  • It seems my holidays last for days and days...gulp! I'm a tad nervous! Thanksgiving: I'm running a 5K that morning, yay! I plan on just eating in small portions at the IL's house, which I can handle. Friday my mom and grandma are coming up, so that'll be burgers or something at the local restaurant for dinner I'm sure.…
  • I'm buying myself a Garmin running watch and a sexy bra and matching panties!!
  • When I started MFP I had my calories set to 1200. It worked for 6 month for me, but then for about 3 months I stalled. I decided I'd try eating "at the weight I want to be" which is 1506 calories a day. It's only been about 3 weeks, but I feel SO much better, and I've lost 1-1.5 a week, which is what I want. For exercise,…
  • About 2 years ago, I had my cholesterol checked. It was sky-high, like "you're going to die soon" high, like "you need medication" high, like "these numbers MUST be wrong they are SO high" high. I was 36. My kids were 4 & 1 at the time. I had just lost a very dear childhood friend (different health issues) who left behind…
  • Just tell him you have to do this for yourself and go. He's a big boy, he can survive. If a person is THAT dependent on you and they're not your kid, there's something wrong. It just takes 30-60 minutes a day.
  • Homemade butternut squash soup and a salad with balsamic vin. on it. Yum!!
  • ...and boy, I sure am jealous of all of you who don't have to ban food from your life, must be nice.
  • Ice cream, cheese, peanut butter, and did I mention ice cream?  I've found "substitutes" for these which I'm fine with. Frozen banana "ice cream", laughing cow cheese, and pb2 are my bff's...in moderation of course.
  • Oh yes! I usually know what I'm going to eat during a regular weekday so I log it. During my weekends I don't have access to a computer so I try and keep track on paper...it's not the same but I try! I find it helps keep me on track and gives me an idea of where I need to add/subtract calories, etc.
  • This is soooo great!!! Good for you!! I'm soon to be in onederland myself, you've motivated me to kick it up a notch and get there! :flowerforyou: :drinker:
  • I gave up peanut butter and eating after dinner. The peanut butter I had to give up because I was eating WAY too much of it and it was really affecting my cholesterol. Eating after dinner I gave up because I'd just eat crap in the evenings and that needed to stop.
  • I have an Enell bra. I will admit I don't "love" it, I call it my corset (and on rough runs I call it the corset from hell), but it does do the job. Chest doesn't move AT ALL, which was becoming a problem medically, I was starting to get muscle tears down the sides of my chest and back because of bouncing! It's probably…
  • I, too, have a desk job. I work on a college campus, and have a pretty flexible "schedule" during the day, so I take walks throughout the day as well as use my lunchbreak for a long, fast walk. When I have to use the bathroom I walk to the farthest one on campus! It's a good 12 minute fast-walk round trip. I also volunteer…
  • Oh heck yeah!! I put them on: *baked potatoes *5 saltines + 1 wedge + sliced apple *eggs *whole wheat toasted english muffin (with and without sandwich fixin's) *mashed potatoes *tortilla shells for a spread for wraps *chicken breast soooo many options!!!
  • I still have a lot of experimenting to do, but I've discovered: * bananas in the morning (filling for me!) * greek yogurt * I won't DIE if I don't eat ALL of what's on my plate!! I can SURVIVE with just half a brat cut length-wise and not feel deprived! GASP!! * whole wheat english muffins * just in general, fruits and…
  • I really like running in the early morning, but I have to get up ~4:30am to do so (kids who get up before the sun, work, hubby who needs to get into the bathroom early to get ready for work, etc.) so I only do that on Sundays before church. Otherwise I go in the evenings. I'm finding that it's bloody HOT in the evenings…
  • I record my weight every Tuesday, but I weigh every day. I feel I stay on track better this way, it keeps me honest.
