Rude. You CAN lose weight through plain old diet and exercise. I know it's hard to believe, especially in our society of quick-fixes but saying she must've had surgery completely belittles all of the hard work she put in.

I don't quite see myself as a 'lighter' version yet....I still see the same 40lb heavier version. But it's wierd, if I'm out shopping for clothes I still find myself reaching for the size L but if I pick up a S (what I am now) I can see that it's going to fit me wheras before it would've looked tiny. It's surreal I guess.

For whatever reason, it drives me crazy when someones' "oh, you're fine!" instead of 'That's alright' if I for instance apologize for being in their way or something like that. "You're fine!" and they always do that stupid hand movement, like a downward wave, when they say it too. It irritates the hell out of me!!! I also…

Yep. It's positively infuriating. And he never gains a single pound and is always waving food in my face saying 'oh go ahead it's not going to kill you.'

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must feel as amazing as you look!!!!!

...this whole post broke my heart :( I really hope that she realizes sooner rather than later the damage that she has caused you and tries to remedy it for the sake of your relationship together.

I was at Rainn nightclub in Vegas 3 years and 40 pounds ago and some drunk guy called me a fat b*tch. Oh and there was maybe this one time when my (still current!) boyfriend told me to 'lose the gut'. That has stuck with me forever.

I'll have 3/4 cup of Kashi go lean fiber cereal and unsweetened almond milk before I go to bed if I'm hungry, it'll only run you about 150 calories and it's super filling. Cottage cheese is a good nighttime filler snack too

Isn't that the BEST feeling in the world??? Congratulations!

If you're losing inches, then you are losing body fat! Check your body fat percentage, I bet that number has gone way down. Don't be put off by the number on the scale!

WAIT WAIT I forgot one.... Someone help, what is this move called? He has me stand on one leg with my other knee raised, and then I have to lower (squat) myself into a sitting position on a weight bench then immediately (and I mean immediately, as soon as my butt touches the bench) pop myself back up to standing straight…

I have never had to do jump pull-ups yet. These sound absolutely TERRIFYING. I hope my trainer doesn't read these forums because if he heard me say I was scared of it, he'd likely have me do it in the next session hahaha

Oh no, my trainer is merciless. If he knows I hate something, he pushes me to do it to prove to myself that I can, so there's zero way I can avoid it when I'm training with him. The thing is, I WANT to be good at this 10 pound jump rope thing, but I know I won't ever get there unless I keep pushing. I still hate it though.…

I'm a 36C (formally a D until I started losing weight) so I've had to do a lot of searching for supportive ones. I do a lot of cardio (running) and circuit training along with exercises that have me jumping around. The best compression I've found is Moving Comfort's Fiona bra and Under Armour's Endure bra with the zip in…

Congratulations, you look AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the tape measure made me feel better when I've had plateau weeks!! Don't get discouraged, keep it up and you will continue to see results! A plateau week here and there is totally normal. Comparing a photo from a year ago is a great idea for motivation too.

Awesome!! :)

My personal trainer gave me a 1500 meal plan which I manage to do really well with. Combined with daily exercise I've been coming in under my calories on here a lot, usually at about 1445. I don't think I could manage a strict 1200 calorie limit for very long, no matter how strong I think I am!

I think it depends on a number of things. Do either one have a personality you like like better? I have a trainer and if I didn't get along with him or felt uncomfortable in any way, I know it wouldn't work. He's great and pushes me as fat as I can go and we joke around so it's not just some guy barking orders at me in a…
