Trader Joe's chocolate oat bar. They are made of crack but at least they have 5g of fiber. I eat one as a bedtime snack if I've been good. Sometimes if I've been bad too :p

I love hearing stories like this. A number on the scale only goes so far but this stuff is real life. Congrats on your loss and your NSV at the movies!

Depends on intensity of the workout. I like to get some protein in as well as the electrolytes I've lost if I've been sweating a lot. When I do a long run/bike ride in warm weather I usually eat a banana (carbs & potassium) with some peanut butter on a whole wheat muffin. Gets some protein as well as…

I am meeting some friends in Puerto Rico on Apr. 13th and I need to look good in a bathing suit. That gives me 3.5 weeks but I already lost 2 lbs since Saturday so I'll count that :D Low carb for me. It works if I don't cheat. And running/spinning/biking...whatever keeps me moving.

In! I only have 3.5 weeks cuz I'm going to a reunion on 4/13 and I have to look GOOD!!

I love my berries. Going to try this right now. Thank you!!

check out the Speedo website. They have a lot of different styles (lower cut legs, X-backs etc) and you can check out the various combinations and see what works for you. I have a couple of speedos that wear like iron but they do tend to fade in chlorine :( . Also, the speedo website usually has some sort of discount going…

I've had guinea pig (really does taste like chicken) and alpaca (tough but tasty). Oh, and a lot of bugs when I'm biking :P

Blue Diamond makes a combination almond & coconut milk that is 60 cals/cup. I love it--not too sweet, not too bland...just right :D

I'm another refugee from Sparkpeople. I like MFP so much better. It's easier to use and navigate and as everyone else has said--the food database is way better. I am so glad I found MFP --you need to just jump right in and find some buddies and work it!

Great job. I <3 these stories. Congratulations!

You make liars out of all the people that say "It's too hard...I don't have time...blah blah blah". WTG. This is soooo inspiring. You have done a brilliant thing. Enjoy your new body to the max.

Sending friend request. The "friend" part of MFP is what keeps me going I think.

I swear by coconut water. I use the kind with no added sugar (it's plenty sweet without it). I workout a lot & I sweat a lot so getting enough potassium has always been a big issue for me. Coconut water is easy to digest (even right before a workout ) & it contains almost 500 mg of potassium per 8 oz.. It's also a good…

Congratulations! I found Scuba to be a life-changing experience. I was hooked after the first ocean dive. If I could afford it I would dive every weekend! Mastering the discipline of diving gave me the confidence to take up a lot of other challenges too. Let us know how it goes.

hot wings, chicken quesadilla and a lot of very cold beer. Not lite beer either.

Thanks so much for posting. This really is inspiring. You look great & totally earned it!

If the elliptical seems to easy all you need to do is increase either the resistance or your own speed (or both). I don't understand how it can be too easy since you control the intensity? If you're unsure whether you are working out hard enough you might want to try a heart rate monitor and find what settings work for you.

My stomach is very fussy during runs so I have to be careful with pre-run food. Usually a banana + half a luna bar work for me. I also drink coconut water--it's a good way to get electrolytes w/o the stomach discomfort (YMMV). AFTER a run is happy time :D. Usually something with peanut butter!

Rock climbing. Have watched my friends climb. Never dared to try it myself.

started Week 1 day 1 today. Got it done but...ouch...

Nathan makes a neoprene pouch-on-a-belt. They have "5k" and "10k" sizes. Either is big enough to hold phone/creditcard/cash but the 10k model can hold a couple of energy bars too. If you get into doing longer runs you can pin energy gels to the belt part. I have a 5k that I've used for years. They never seem to wear out.…

NYC here. Feel free to add me. I'm pretty new and would love some local peeps.

Hi all. New "mature" runner here. Reading thru from the beginning but wanted to tag the thread b4 I lose it. Loving MFP so far. xD
-
Please feel free to add me as well. I just joined MFP and need some friendly encouragement. Right now I am running 4-5 times a week with a "long" run of about 5 miles but my typical run tends to be more like 3 miles. I used to run distances up to full marathon but injuries and just being out of shape have put me back to…
