Wow, that is too funny, I printed out that exact same training earlier today. I am registered for a half but it is not until Oct 16th. I was thinking of offiically starting training next week.
-
I just signed up for my first half in Oct, so I will be in the same boat as you. Are you training for it just because or are you doing to register for a race? Good luck!

Thanks everyone! I know that at this point, I should be focusing less on the # and more about the changes in my body. Let’s face it, though, I’m pretty sure that # would be going down if I was losing the fat that I still have on my body, kwim? Bottom line, I just have to buckle down with my eating habits and stick to it!

My daughter is one year old, and I do have some extra skin there but it is definitely belly fat. I never used to have so much there, so it is probably attributed to having babies but the baby weight is gone.

I’m right there with ya too! It is frustrating huh! I am starting to focus more on strength training and hope that makes some difference! It can be hard to switch things up, when you get used to a certain routine, and comfort zone, that’s how I feel anyway! It makes sense that it would be effective, though! Good luck, I…

I answered sedentary because my job, where I am most of my day, is at a desk. If I was a nurse or a waitress, always on my feet, but not the type of activity I would record as exercise and take calories for, I would set it as slightly active.
Em - I bet you're in either Athletic or Fitness! :)
Aw thanks Karen, I would bet Fitness, though, not athletic. I am curious though!

I don’t know mine but I really wish I did, because at this point, I would rather focus more on body fat % loss, not necessarily weight loss. I have never looked into buying something to measure it, nor have I looked into a place I could go to get it measured. I really should, though!

Hm, three things.. 1. my muscular legs and butt 2. my hair 3. it's ability to make beautiful and healthy babies, not sure if that counts, but I love it for creating them! :)

I think this happens quite frequently with people who have been successful at losing weight. I think people have a hard time with seeing someone else be successful and make changes, because they themselves have not been able to do it, so they make negative comments. Lately, my husband has been getting comments that he is…

Thanks for this!

Thanks, I sure am, he is a wonderful guy, inside and out!
-
Awesome, great job!
-
Thanks everyone, it means a lot to me and him! :) Hopefully some day I will post my b&a pics, once I get to goal!
-
We plan on doing that, he just wants to wait until this second round is officially over in a couple weeks. I will, thanks!
-
Fixed the pics, tried to do side by side, but that didn't work, but you can see them better this way!

Some weekends I still struggle with it, but on “successful” weekends, I usually do not go out to eat, that is always what hurts me on the weekends. The more meals I can prepare at home, the better. I also usually do a longer cardio workout so I have more calories to play with, too. :) I also try to stay busy, if I am just…

Gina, how often do you go running? With me, the more I practice, the easier it gets and once I realize I am just cruising along, I try to pick up the pace and see how long I can run at a faster pace.. kinda hard to explain, and just what I do on my own, never been trained or anything like that.. I know you do some p90x…

Just curious, how will your nutrition plan differ from what you were doing before? WTG on your stats!!

I will run when it is in the teens or 20s, it is the wind that kills me when I run. The summer is the worst, when it is really hot and humid. I also love running in the rain, something about it feels empowering and I get energized from it.

For those who don’t like to eat it because it is so high in sodium, they do have no salt cottage cheese. I have been buying that lately, of course it is not quite as tasty as the sodium laden version, but if you mix it up with things anyway, you don’t notice it as much.

I focus more on improving my time doing the same distance, then once I feel like that has improved, try out longer distances. If I have a race coming up, I will try to do shorter distances (2-3 miles) at a faster pace. If I want to burn more calories and just for fitness, I will do 4-5 miles, and not focus on going as…

Plyo!!

Hey Karen! I don’t think you burn a significant amount more or less depending on the weather.. When you run in warmer temps, you are going to sweat more, hence feeling like you got more of a workout, kwim? Running outside is way harder then running on a treadmill, you go up and down hills, have potential wind that can make…

I found myself over-estimating on exercise just because my HRM was inaccurate and showing very high for calories burned. I also never measured portions, and found myself eating little things here and there.. in the beginning it didn’t matter and I lost weight (probably because I was breastfeeding.) Then I got stuck at a…

I don’t post too often but from what I have seen, I think most people around here are supportive and positive, even when people post common “repeat” questions. I would ignore any negativity and try not to take it personally. Overall, I find the majority here to be supportive and give great advice!

I can see how you would feel that way. It is definitely not an easy program but it is worth it. Also, you shouldn’t feel like you have to keep up with Tony or the others, you can modify and do what you can at first. Yes, you might feel pathetic at first and out of shape (I know I did) but you would be surprised how quickly…

Ideally, I would like to get 7-8 hours of sleep during the week. I try to get to bed no later than 10PM, to be up at 4:45AM-5AM to work out. So usually I get more like 6-7 hours during the week, especially if my 9 month old daughter wakes me up. I haven’t been good at waking up to workout lately, and doing it after work…

Great job, you should be proud of yourself for completing it, it is not easy! I definitely can notice a difference. It’s funny how similar your story is to mine! :) FTR- I took a week off in between round one and two, I think they recommend you do that. I felt lost without it for that week though!

My husband struggles with wanting to be in a healthy BMI range, but I don’t think he should be... For his height, his target weight range is 129 to 175lbs to be considered “healthy.” He weighed 250, currently weighs 190lbs and if he ever were to get down to 175 he would look emaciated. He has a large frame, naturally lot…
