Hey fellow b!tches! I did not have the best week, being sick and all. Was super frustrated that I was sick and really wasn't eating much until I saw the INSANE sodium content is the soup I was eating and found out just how many calories and grams of sugar were in all of the Nyquil doses I was taking :'( Really surprised I…

Yeah, I would focus on getting better and not so much about the scale. Mono can be very dangerous if you're not careful and, if you HAPPEN to gain weight, you can always work it off when you're healthy. On the other side, you probably won't gain much, if any, due to it making you lose your appetite. Eat as much as you…

1/3 of a cup of Tapioca Pearls is 110 calories, 0g fat, 60mg sodium, 27g carbs. I don't really know what kind of yogurt you are talking about because I've only really ever seen it made with milk. But at least you know the Tapioca!

My point exactly!

I wouldn't take offense to it because you obviously look very different and you can't always tell when someone is "sick". Imagine if you did have GI issues, AIDS or some other wasting illness and she had said "You look great!" To which you reply "Thanks, the cancer is really doing wonders for my figure." Who knows, maybe…

I used to try and tan but it barely worked, so I stopped. Plus I don't want the damage it causes. My best friend tans often, but she has psoriasis so she uses the tanning bed rather than expensive light treatments... still makes me worry, though!

Muscles grow larger because, as you strength train, you are technically damaging your muscles, essentially causing tiny tiny tears which must be filled with actin and myosin (I'm pretty sure, been a while since A&P) to repair them. This causes the muscle fibers to expand in size, thus making them stronger. That's the…

Not all child pageants are like that. That is pretty much the extreme of the extreme with crazy *kitten* parents to go with it. They have natural beauty pageants where no make up or hair pieces are allowed and normal kid clothes is required. Not that I agree with beauty pageants, but I think those are less damaging to a…

The fat cells are still there, they are just depleted of the fuel that is inside of them. That's why it's so easy to gain weight back! The cases are still there, they are just waiting to be filled. Lipo is the only way to really remove fat cells.

I am no F, but I used to be a DD (now a D). I've had this happen to me and it hurrrrtttsss. Plus, be careful, because you can develop a boil if it gets too irritated (TMI, I know). I have used neosporin if it is rubbed to the point of it being actually raw and switched to sports bras to let the skin heal. It sounds like…

I would do something like yoga or go for a nice walk alone. Something for "you" time and to help you relieve stress. Good luck with everything and I hope things turn around for you and your family!

Just be prepared for the gas lol. I LOVE cabbage though and will be trying this!

lol I've noticed the same trend. Doesn't hurt that she's married to a black man and my bf is black so she feels like I'm her confidante in that department. And the "occasional mexican" made me lol.

"Just hit on at traffic light and shocker it was a white dude" I guess my friend was surprised a white guy hit on her? lol She seems to think that only ethnic guys like us thick ladies.

More water and more fiber. You should definitely try to go at least every other day, if not every day. Once every 3 days is no good. If you are having trouble meeting you water or fiber intake, take a fiber supplement and try some water mix-ins like Crystal Light or Moi (it's new and quite good) just to help you get more…

It probably IS easier and more economical to pack the salad yourself just the way you like it, but the point was an option for people who may not have packed a lunch and are on the go. Thank you for the suggestion! Though we don't have that restaurant here :(

Okay so first thing's first: where are the noodles from? Are they Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese? I have a package of Thai rice vermicelli that says 2oz (56g) are 180 calories, 0.5g of fat, 3g protein, 40g total carbs and 1g dietary fiber. The rest are all 0 (even sodium!). Now if they were Korean, I know that those…

My boyfriend always asks me to paint them red or french tipped. He just thinks those colors are cute, I guess. Or maybe he thinks that those are the only options available... lol jk. Maybe.

Take a potassium supplement and try to get more sleep.

Told you I'd come back! Current Weight (9/10): 248.6 Weight lost since last week: 3 lbs! Calories burned since last week: I honestly don't know, I wasn't good about tracking my workouts this week... But probably around 1,700. Nutrition goal met? I had good days and bad, but I need to lower my sodium intake. How many miles…

That little weight isn't really a concern. It's most likely just the drinking during the workout that causes it, but like I said: if you pee fine, you're fine. Good luck to you! And if you hate G2, just go for regular Gatorade or some other drink that has electrolytes. Be safe and watch for those symptoms I said earlier!
-
Eat 'em up, yum!
-
Up to 20 cups a day of just plain water? I would switch your pre and post workout drink to something with electrolytes like G2 or Powerade. Just one half to a full bottle should be fine. You're most likely not anywhere near reaching Hyponatremia, but you want to make sure you are replacing what you sweat out without…

Nah, it's most likely due to the fact you're drinking more water. If you feel dizzy, light-headed, confused or have heart palpitations/thrills I would have some blood work done to see what your sodium and potassium levels are at. Taking a daily multivitamin does not hurt to ensure you have enough potassium in your diet,…

Current Weight (8/26): 251.6 Weight lost since last week: +.2 lbs... Calories burned since last week: NOT ENOUGH! Nutrition goal met?I didn't do so well this week... TOM :( How many miles did you travel this past week: I believe 10-12 miles NEW GOALS for the week of 9/3 through 9/9: Calorie burn goal: 2,000 need to…

Sorry so late! Current Weight (8/26): 251.4 Weight lost since last week: 4lbs! Calories burned since last week: 504 calories; I was only cleared back into the gym by my Dr on Wednesday and I didn't go yesterday or today due to the pain in my knee. Hopefully this week is better! Nutrition goal met? For most of the days,…

I looked at some of your older pictures and I can see that your hair does look thinner than before (as long as it isn't just a light of something I'm seeing on your default). Have you ever had your thyroid checked? If your TSH is too high or too low, it will cause your Thyroid to work incorrectly and one of the symptoms is…

Cool water won't hurt you, what they are referring to when they say not to take a cold shower is that it can lead to some muscle cramping as your body tries to adjust quickly to the difference. I would start at lukewarm, then move to a cool shower to finish the cool down process. Make sure you have finished sweating (or…

You are truly amazing. When I see people with stories like you, I know I can do it, too. I just have to make the change for ME and no one else!

I'm actually leaving for a cruise two days after Thanksgiving so I'm going to save my indulgence for then :) I will probably have a healthy amount of turkey, maybe a baked potato and some greens. Nothing too crazy.
