There are a number of uses for whey. Check out The Prairie Homestead for some of them.

The whey from yogurt does contain protein. Incorporating it back in will just thin the yogurt. I'll use it in baking or as the liquid for pizza crust. I use the instant pot and it couldn't be more simple. Bring milk to a boil using the Yogurt->Boil setting. Cool to between 110 and 115 degrees (ice bath can be used to speed…

I look for the ones with 3% sodium and packaged individually. I live alone, so having to repackage into individual portions or thaw out multiple chicken breasts at a time doesn't work for me.

LifeSource (blood donation place) told me to cut down on iced tea in addition to eating greens, liver, beef, etc. Apparently, there are tannins in tea that can block the absorption of iron. They also mentioned cooking in cast iron.

The therapist was able to apply electrodes to stimulate certain muscles which showed exactly which muscles I should be…

For those of you who like balsamic, try the flavored balsamics on salads or drizzle it over roasted asparagus. I haven't found the need to include any oil unless I am trying to make an emulsion.

Here's a hint: A typical blender ring & blades will fit on a standard sized (not wide mouth) canning jar if you need to blend small quantities. Just don't do hot liquids as those would create extra pressure.

Do you have time to cook and eat before leaving home in the morning or do you need to grab something and nuke/toast it when you get to the office? If it is the former, grits are filling. Add a bit of flavorful cheese (stronger flavors = less cheese needed). Or you can make the oatmeal below that morning. If it is the…
