I agree it's a bit of a nightmare,it has taken me 5 months to lose 12lbs and at the moment i have been stuck for about 3 weeks:(.

Congrat's. Probably one of the most important decisions you'll have ever made. I stopped four years ago with the aid of patches after being a smoker for 45 years. Much healthier and richer. Believe me. it gets easier Just hang in there. :):flowerforyou:

I lose weight very slowly. Averageing 0.5lbs some weeks and zero others.However in total i have lost 9lbs and i can feel the difference. So don't lose heart ,slow and steady is better than boom and burst. Keep your chin up.:

Hi' i dont have to lose quite as much, but i think it probably feels like a mountin to climb regardless. I am 67, female and i do think it is more difficult as you get olde and not as fit and energetic. hi,i'm nelly, i am a good bit older than you 67 sh. but i would love to be your friend. I am reasonably new to Fitness Pal but i am finding it really helpful and have lost 6lbs which would'nt have happened if i'd been on my own. So good luck and keep trying.
