My issue was under-eating, so reaching 1200 before factoring in my exercise cals was a big thing for me - so I can't just go back to under-eating! a bit counterproductive hehe

Thanks very much for your replies! Sedentary it is..

^^ That is really beautiful! Thank you all for responding, these are all things that I need to hear. Exercise cals.. one of my issues before joining MFP was under-eating, so consuming even 1200 cal was difficult, at first. I do try to eat back my exercise calories, though I admit I often don't net 1200 - just took a look…

Very true, and it helps to hear you say that. I actually agree with you about the scale just giving you a number - yet I really do want to see that number in the "healthy weight rage". I suppose its a mental thing.

Just did level 3 of the 30ds. anyone else feel that it is way easier than level 2?

cute, think I'll make these for my pony.. and maybe sneak one or two ^_^

Everyone has to endure cruelty in their life. Its up to them how they deal with it - and, personally - compliments or not, those comments make me uncomfortable. That doesn't mean that I get annoyed, or upset with the person giving such comments. Its just the emotion that is triggered as a result of that kind of interest..…

Tanning got rid of my eczema. True story!

Totally understandable, but MFP is a liminal place - just sayin' :)

You may not be able to imagine it, but some people (me included) are very sensitive about remarks being made towards our weight. Its not that we don't understand that the givers of such comments have good intentions, and its not that we may find it "annoying" - personally, it just makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Always pink.. currently my favorite pink - pearl pink. Pink pink pink!

I have make-shift weights too ^_^ mine are simply a set of shampoo and conditioner bottles filled with shot-blast.

I finished level one about a week ago. It was tough but I tried it for fun this weekend and it was much easier, except with the circuit 2 strength training (My knees are in bad shape - I do a lot of excavating in the summertime.. one of the reasons I really need to get them strong!!). Went from 151 - 148.6. Feelin' strong.…

I think it depends on how heavy you are lifting, for how much time, etc - I take at least two days off in between my strength training gym days (I do 1/2 an hour with weights), but I also do the 30 ds workout every day.. I was sore at first but now my body is adapting. I'd say go for it and really push yourself - you will…

Thanks, - thought I should mention I'm doing the shred in addition to 4x a week cardio and 2/3 x a week strength training - so loss is not due to just the 30ds:)
-
Hey oh - I'm in the middle of level 2 and I missed one day on account of family affairs - but I never felt like I needed a rest day (so far!) :) hope that helps! <3 Jillian Michaels is great - how did youfind the first day?
-
Hey don't feel behind! Just join in!! I was about 151 when I started on Feb 21 - today I weighed in at 147.2 and I am in the middle of level 2.. I am also doing cardio 4x per week / strength training 2x per week, so its not all due to Jillian's vid and eating the right cals, but I sure do attribute my stamina to her! She…

I've been wondering about this too.. I mean I find it totally impossible to eat back ALL of my exercise cals, so on days of heavy exercise I try to eat extra calories. Its all about the balance of taking in enough calories to keep your body functioning// metabolism fueled.. I think ;)

@ gavintri - straight 10. handsome and great physique. whatever you are doing keep it up!

Just thought I'd add my exercise routine in case it helps.. I take my dogs for a long walk in the morning, do the 30 day shred every day, some yoga and stretching, 4x per week get in 45 min of cardio, and 2x per week spend about 30 minutes strength training. As I said before I usually have trouble eating back my exercise…

Thanks for the link, I'm going to try upping my calories a bit -- just a question.. do you think I've hit a plateau because I don't usually eat back my exercise calories? I try to eat a bit more on my heavy exercise days.. but honestly I usually don't compensate.

Thanks for all your advice MFPs -- I have trouble eating 1200 cal a day, it was only a few weeks ago that I started managing that much! Does anyone have any advice on what to eat to up my calorie intake? I've been adding some peanut butter and lots of nuts and whole grains.. MFP determined my cal intake as 1200, if this is…

Try baked kale as a supplement for chips - as for cheese.. maybe laughing cow lite cheese? or another light option.. or even better, make guacamole! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-kale-chips/
