  • Sorry that you are still not feeling better, but I'm glad that your cholesterol levels are down. I am still not up to par, but I am determined to at least try to go to my fitness class tomorrow. If I have to stop halfway through, so be it. I also managed to eat healthier today than I have in the last week, but it's still a…
  • Confession: I go by my middle name because I absolutely hate my first name. I work with someone who used to know me before I started going by my middle name and he never uses it. I want to buy a shock collar for him very, very badly for whenever he calls me by my first name. Confession: About a year ago I got a little…
  • First thing in the morning, naked, while the shower is heating up. I weigh daily, but only log it once or twice a week. I also weigh myself at least twice to make sure the reading is the same (sometimes if I'm standing on the scale just a little differently it will give a lower reading). I'm not actually that concerned…
  • I'm finally on the upswing from whatever sinus hell I've been in the last few days and no longer feel like I have a rubber band around my chest, so hopefully I will try to at least do some light exercise tomorrow. Als, I've been on a bit of a junk food bender the last few days and I'm going to get back on track tomorrow
  • On the subject of music, does anyone else hate it when a gym takes a perfectly good rock song, speeds it up, and ends a cheesy beat to it just to make it more "appealing" for exercise? I mean, why not just pick a song that already has a more appropriate beat?
  • That made me laugh a little too hard. That being said, I have some stomach issues and -confession- thanks to my rather unhealthy eating choices the last few days I made a rather embarrassing mess out of the toilet at work today. To the person who started out with the senior citizen workouts, there is nothing embarrassing…
  • That's a pretty good one.
  • Yes. Everyone in my family thinks I'm weird because I don't like peeps (or marshmallow suckers, or marshmallows in general), but I think they are disgustingly sweet and have a really funky texture. Confession: I have a bad cold and have been using it as an excuse for a royal binge consisting of chocolate bars, two pints of…
  • Yeah, I will shamelessly admit to bawling through that entire movie (I have a real soft spot for animals). I'm just glad I was alone when I watched it or I would have been totally embarrassed.
  • Did another 18.1 miles this week, now I'm at 331.5 and continuing in the valley, almost five days from Weathertop.
  • Spokane, WA, US
  • Welcome!
  • I am impressed with anyone who can make themselves exercise that early in the morning. I'm glad everyone is doing well. And welcome to bhagarmckee and notyetsuperman. My week started off really good, but I have been stressing over work and then I sort of got sick. Not sure whether I have a cold or really bad allergies…
  • I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this yet, but the group exists. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/3423-to-mordor I started doing it a while back and then quit keeping track, but I'm trying to pick up where I left off.
  • Confession: My meals are named after the mealtimes that Hobbits use in Lord of the Rings (Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevenses, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, and Supper) and I usually have something at each of these times (though I have a tendency to log my afternoon tea under second breakfast out of laziness)
  • Yeah... There was a chocolate cheesecake sitting on the breakroom table at work today. It looked really good and to try to avoid eating it I went ahead and had my afternoon snack (dark chocolate-covered almonds). About 20 minutes later someone came into my office talking about how good the cheesecake was and I completely…
  • Why didn't I know about this when I was in college? This probably would have gotten me through so many procrastinated lab reports...
  • It seems I got a little bit lost on the way and have just been wandering in the woods for a year or so... But, I'm back now and over the last week I have wracked up 26.4 miles, putting me at 313.4. Looks like I stopped to camp and am following a wide shallow curvy valley.
  • @therealpatrick‌ Congratulations on the caliper test. I'm finally over whatever funk I've had. I woke up this morning with an absurd amount of energy and finally had to go to gym to work it off a bit. The weather has been really nice the last couple of days so hopefully I will find an excuse to go play outside tomorrow.…
  • Welcome to the thread and congratulations!
  • I've had a couple of "bleh" days. I haven't had much of an appetite (which is weird, because normally I am constantly craving sugar and whatnot) and we tried a new workout routine yesterday and I have sore muscles in places where they don't normally get sore. I'm thinking I'm going to skip tomorrow's workout to give myself…
  • This is me to a T. I'm autistic and don't always know if what I am doing is socially inappropriate so I come across as very awkward to people who don't know me. That and people confuse the fact that I am sometimes unable to speak with me being rude or ignoring them. Confession: I have recently developed an obsession with…
  • I've had a pretty good week. I managed to avoid the box of donuts on the table in the breakroom this morning and I'm finally starting to get visible biceps (and every so often find myself flexing my muscles like a *kitten* just to see them). Ryan, the drunk dialed pizza is pretty funny.
  • 1. I used to eat a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream every Sunday. I've managed to get it down to a single serving every Sunday (I have to buy it that way and I'm not allowed to keep ice cream in the apartment). 2. I am really lazy when I log, so if I, say, drink a cup of coffee, I will usually only log the creamer and not…
  • I try to eat something small before a workout that has some protein for a little bit of a boost (the last couple of weeks I've been on a string cheese kick). I workout during my lunch break and if I eat too much beforehand then I feel like I'm going to lose my lunch midway through my workout, but I have to have something…
  • If it bothers you, then I would delete them, personally. Though, bear in mind that there are some people out there like me who frequently eat their calorie goal or more, but who are consistently inconsistent about not logging everything out of laziness or what have you.
  • I've had a couple of pretty unhealthy days. My co-workers like to bring in desserts and other snacks for everyone and leave them sitting on the table in the break room. The last couple of weeks I've been pretty good about avoiding them but I gave in on Thursday and Friday and am too afraid to actually log the calories.…
  • Bananas, oatmeal (cream of wheat is fine, though, which doesn't make sense), black licorice.
  • I know I've posted here already, but I am an FTM (pre-transition, but I present as male outside of work). I'm coming back to myfitnesspal after a long break and some not so good eating choices and would love to have some new trans friends.
  • Both. I usually go until I'm totally exhausted and then try to go until I can't anymore without actually risking injury. It can be kind of tricky to reach that balance, though.
