  • i'm in week 5 now. the first couple of weeks i spent looking ahead saying 'i'll never be able to do that' but so far, i can! so now i think i can do anything as long as i follow the programme.
  • i think you'd lose that hatred for 'sucking air' faster than you anticipate. i'm into week 4 of c25k now and i lost my fear of being out of breath pretty early on. i used to panic when my chest felt tight and short of breath and end up stopping and gasping about. i think by the end of week 1 i'd twigged i wasn't going to…
  • yes i'm scared of the 5mins too. but i was scared of the 3 minutes too. am clinging on to that! think i've found a race for 1st july, give myself a bit of time to repeat weeks later on. nervous!
  • i did it! the last 30 seconds of the 2nd 3min run was a push but otherwise it was easier than i'd expected. feel bouncy and happy now. i couldnt do that 2 weeks ago! i really forced myself to go (even) slower than normal which i think helped. confidence in the programme restored. i now think it vaguely possible i could be…
  • i was going to repeat a day of week 2 tomorrow but i think i'm actually just going to go for it with week 3 now. w2d3 went really well but days 1&2 were abysmal. can't hurt to try i suppose? i really want to keep progressing but the hard days really knocked my confidence and i dont want that again. meh, i can always go…
  • wow! you're 20yrs younger! nice work :D
  • great story! thanks, i'm on a mission for c25k success stories today and they keep on coming. can't believe how great you looked at 206!
  • did you mean to say something about my post Xabsentimentalx or did you quote me by accident?
  • i love mine. i weigh myself every time i go in the bathroom. i dont think about it except when i'm there and i dont make special trips to visit it. i dont freak out at normal fluctuations. last time my scale broke and i didnt replace it i gained back 35lb in 4 months :ohwell: since i bought a new one i'm down 26lb. slowly,…
  • hi. i'm did week 1 day 3 this morning, outdoor variety. i'm enjoying it, survived enough to feel confident about week 2!
  • *heads excitedly straight to app store, is horrified by price but considering it*
  • i have always thought no way, because i am so far from a morning person and am a total night owl. but i was getting nowhere with dreading it all day and then being too tired and just not doing it at all. for the last 3 weeks i've been getting up and meeting a friend at 6.30am and we've started the c25k. turns out i can do…
  • i have the opposite problem! i did w1d3 this morning and my breathing has improved loads - today we chatted all the way round including through the runs - but my legs go around run 6/7 and feel like numb lead. nervous about week 2 but excited too.
  • Clash of Kings atm to whip myself into a frenzy for the new series starting. before that it was a little bit of Pratchett, and next i'm thinking of checking out the Hunger Games while i wait for new Jasper Fforde to come out.
  • you're basically doing the c25k so i'd just follow that and it will give you the training schedule to build you up. maybe start on week 3/4 as you're clearly not a potato. you enjoying it?
  • 22lb down so far and still in the same clothes. but i've gone from worrying the seams to pretty baggy. i know i bought my next size smaller jeans when i was 14lbs down from where i am now, so looking forward to getting back in those soon! that's when it will start getting noticeable too. and also i think why i managed to…
  • howdy. technically i started last week but i've missed a few days with being ill so going for it in March.
  • wow, look at you! thanks for sharing. i'm trying to do this the same way as you. i wouldnt stick to a severe diet that eliminated food groups, so i'm making smaller changes and expecting it to take a lot longer. it's great to see that it works and that you've lost so much weight!
  • you rang? i thought this was an FAO for me  i'm 5'2'' massive chested and no plans to go below 130lbs, i'm initially aiming for around 150lb and then hopefully 140lb.
