I totally understand how frustrating this can be if you are trying to lose weight first, and size is secondary. I think people can forget that everyone may not have the same purpose to losing weight. Like it or not, there are things that motivated me to lose weight (inches were secondary) - and that was ALL I cared about…

You are a bonafide stud now! WOW.

Eat less and workout harder.

Alcohol has a much lower boiling point than water. That means that when you use it when you are cooking and you heat it up to the point where the water starts boiling (high heat), then the alcohol is boiling away. The amount remaining depends on the temperature, how long you cook it and how much wine you put in, but if you…

You might want to log your workout at dailymile.com to get that feature. My HRM does it automatically - too bad MFP only syncs to fitbit.
-
So you are adding weight out of thin air without taking in any food or water? BS

Just go out for a 15 minute walk. Extend it to 30 if you have time. Every little bit helps and the hardest part is just starting it when you don't feel like it one day. Don't let three days become four, and you'll be right back on track! You'll feel great about yourself after you get back in the swing of it.

Sheesh you look amazing, and your story is such a good motivator!
-
Man you totally had me on that. LOL

I'm sure it's yummy but it seems like an awful lot of cholesterol for 2 slices of pseudo bread.

Do whatever you want, as long as you still workout! If you get sick from eating before, then don't do that next time. ;-D

MFP has to make some guesses about your rate rate when you are working out and it can be wildly inaccurate because of that. Using your age, height, weight, and resting heart rate, maximum heart rate, VO2max, is going to give you a more accurate look at how many calories are being burned, but I've never seen an HRM that…

I just had a doctor checkup today and asked her about this. She said drinking water has nothing to do with losing weight, contrary to what all the diet people might say. She said to just avoid dehydrating yourself in order to give yourself the illusion of losing weight.
-
When someone does that to me, I just say, "yea you're right... you really should go on a diet". HAHAHAHA The look of shock on their face shuts them up in a hurry!

I would say the fast food takeout is killing your efforts. One thing that I had to learn is that the processed foods and all of the sodium in them were just ruining any chance for me to lose weight. I have given up the pizza, burgers, etc while I am on this diet, because I don't lose weight when I eat them. If I eat that…

All I use is an elliptical, and I am having great results after I got one that had a heart rate monitor built into it.. I do it 6-7days a week for 30-40 minutes. I set the elliptical for 80% heart rate (136bpm for my weight/age) and keep it there for the workout. The elliptical automatically adusts the intensity to keep my…

Yes, muscle tissue can also perform Glycogenesis (changing glycogen to glucose). But I would say the liver is much more important. Adding muscle is not going to make up for a fatty liver or making your liver work on detoxing you from cocktails instead of fat metabolism.

I'm doing cardio every day - lost 21lbs in 25 days so far. Doing 30-40 minues on the elliptical at the highest level with a heart monitor, keeping heart rate at 80% level for 25-30 minutes of that time if I can. Once I added the heart rate monitor, and used that as my guide, my weight loss accelerated exponentially. I just…

You are freakin' hysterical - punching a dolphin...

Are you on blood pressure meds by chance? That can do it.

Wow - totally awesome. I love seeing this type of thing - it gives me hope!
-
Wow - you look like a different person. What an awesome job. I'm sure it's been tough at times, but congrats!
-
impressive!
-
Wow - you look awesome!
-
Sweet! Awesome job, and keep up the hard work - you're going to LOVE YOURSELF!
-
I love to drink - especially red wine. However, I've found that my weight loss practically stops for a day or two after I've had only a glass a wine. It's like my liver refuses to process any fat at all if it's been getting rid of a cocktail or two. I don't plan on stopping drinking, but I'm "pausing" whiile I'm dropping…

Awesome - congrats!
-
Do it - you don't want to regret not doing it later. The crowd will pull you through. Think about how awesome you are going to feel after you cross the finish line!
-
Wow - that is so encouraging to me to be able to see when somebody has done something like this. You look awesome and you must feel SO great when you see pics of yourself now! Way to go!
-
Ha - very easy to tell! Your face looks very different, and your arms and legs are smaller! People that havent' seen you in awhile are certainly going to do a doubletake when they see you next time. :-D Congrats, and good job!
