  • @ducky133 I think all of us have been there. The bad sleep will get better and no fuzzy brain is a good thing! It's progress. Sometimes it really helps to just explain it "out loud" here, then you start to acknowledge where you can avoid temptation or adjust your routine. You may find you crave more sugar, or if you wait…
  • Thank you @mainelylisa for keeping the thread going!! So far, 2/2 days AF, including the last two days of February. I had to fight it yesterday, as a stressful day with nowhere to go in the evening usually leads to wine. I was SO proud of myself when I picked up dinner and bypassed everything (I don't have any wine in the…
  • Not every night has been successful, and Monday was probably my worst in terms of drinking. I deserved a hangover, but didn't have one...just horrible sleep. I am sure all of you can commiserate that when you make the decision to drink (especially a few drinks), it leads to other bad decisions. I ended up waaaaay…
  • @VickyEltonGreen Reading your response made my day!! I agree with you! Making your bed always starts the day off better. Such a strange, simple chore, but I am always more relaxed when I walk into my bedroom!
  • Welcome to February! Glad to see the looooooooong month of January pass! Last month, I shared my goals (resolution doesn't sound positive enough) last month, and will continue through this month! I am going for small lifestyle changes and good habits! Goals: 1) Make my bed everyday. - I did great last month! Only two days…

  • I am a little late, as last week my son ended up in the hospital due to headaches stemming from Covid. It is atypical for kiddos (he is 10) to get the prolonged, constant headache, but alas he was one of the ones. In fact, he is the first documented case at the Children's hospital here. He is out, and home, and…
  • Yearly Goals: 1) Make my bed everyday. - EVERYDAY!! Woohoo! 2) Walk at the minimum once a day. - Every day but one day due to timing/errands of when I normally walk, but I made up for it the next day by walking twice as long. 3) Dry January - 8/10 days AF 4) Stay close to calorie goals. - So far so good! I am tracking…
  • Monday check-in! Starting weight: 252 Current weight: 251 First goal: 199 Ultimate Goal: ~160 Yearly Goals: 1) Make my bed everyday. - EVERYDAY!! • I tried quoting, and boy was that a disaster, so I'll mention. @SkinnyGirlCarrie YES! Your goal is exactly what I meant when I added the few tiny, seemingly easy, goals. Just changing where you drink your coffee changes the perspective! When I walk into my room and see the made bed, it is for some reason easier to fold…
  • Glad to be back on the thread! My goal is a dry January. Total days AF: 3/3 We had a positive covid case in the house over Christmas, and it was stressful, boring, and confining. Everyone is ok, and my son is recovering, but definitely left 2020 with some new goals and hopefully a better perspective and mindset. It takes…
  • Glad to be back on the thread for 2021!! Goals: 1) Make my bed everyday. 2) Walk at the minimum once a day. 3) Dry January 4) Stay close to calorie goals. I am giving myself some grace since 2020 was so different. I know the pounds packed on, as we were quarantined with a positive Covid case, but so far, I have kept to…
  • Happy Monday! Checking in! Goal: 4 days of alcohol Oct 1: AF Oct 2: two sour beers (this was planned) Oct 3: went on a party bus to celebrate a birthday! It included dinner at an italian restaurant and a cocktail bar. I had never been on one before, and was the oldest on the bus (Birthday girl turned 29...I am 40). It was…

Estimated Weight (earlier this month): 255 9/15 - 251 9/21 - 249 Goal this month: 248 Ultimate Goal Weight: 165 Because I had no idea if I would stick with all of these changes, I set the monthly goal low and it is looking…
  • Weighed in today! Estimated Weight (earlier this month): 255 Current Weight: 251 Goal this month: 248 Ultimate Goal Weight: 165 Always good to be lower than expected! As for my personal goals, I have done fairly well! Elliptical - 30 minutes 7 out of the last 9 days (including today); I was going to keep going daily, but…
  • You all are so awesome!! Just had to say it. :) Have a great Thursday!!
  • How are we already into September? VERY much like @torihudson6 , I barely even looked at the forums the last few months. Working from home has been both good and bad. Good? I spend more time with my kids and do not have the "drive" adding into our busy weekday schedule. Bad? I literally walk from my bedroom, down 15 stairs…
  • Back in for the month. Not sure what happened, but aside from logging in, I wasn't reading anything. The funny part is, I LOVE the two threads I follow (this being one, a weight loss for 200+lbs the other). It is amazing the ruts we get ourselves into. So I am back. Again. I was reading @RavenStCloud 's standard monthly…
  • Happy Monday! 2/7 days alcohol free This weekend felt a little more in control after my 10lb+ realization last week. Even if I had a drink, I only had one on those other 5 days. Counter-acting with the Soda Stream really does help. I started "30 days of yoga with Adrien" on Saturday, so just simply starting something new…
  • Happy Monday! This weekend felt a little more in control after my 10lb+ realization last week. I'll post my numbers again starting next week while I come to terms with the gain and get a full two weeks of managing it correctly. I started "30 days of yoga with Adrien" on Saturday, so just simply starting something new has…
  • Well May was a bust...and I finally weighed myself. Even more dismal than I feared...I have gained 10lbs in 3 months! So this month, as I turn the big 4-0 in a little over a week, I am going to be dry until then. Then we shall see. I feel like I am starting over! No excuses, just need to pay much more attention.
  • Well, I stepped on the scale...finally...it wasn't pretty. I have gained almost 10lbs in the last three months! I have realized several reasons, and am owning them. So new goals for this month, as I turn the big 4-0 in just over a week. 1) Move MUCH more - I am used to walking into and out of work, getting up several times…
  • Corn tomato and feta salad and tomato basil mozzarella salad. They just scream summer!!
  • April was a bust for me in terms of productivity (think weight, wine and work). I am very grateful to still be able to work, but it doesn't come without struggles. I sit more here at home, move less, drink happy hour wine with my coworkers (who are equally as stressed), and with every step forward at work, connectivity and…
  • Happy May everyone! April was a bust. The quarantine has proven a few things about me. 1) I thrive on a schedule and being busy 2) I could not be a stay at home parent, or working from home parent permanently. 3) When I am stuck in the house, I eat and I drink wine. I am not making bad food choices, just eating too much of…
  • @dbanks80 I have also significantly upped my intake, you are not alone. I think the positive out of this is we recognize it and set goals to adjust. I am much more sedentary here at home, even though I work at a desk when at work. I don't even want to think about stepping on the scale. I can feel my clothes getting…
