  • Good idea for a post! My goals are: -Log into mfp for 30 days straight. I usually take one free day on the weekends for mental sanity :p but I want to change that up. -Stop eating dairy! It makes me sick but over the past few months I've slowly started eating it again. It has lots of calories that I don't really need and…
  • I am so, so sorry that you are having such a difficult time. People can be real jerks! I would totally give you a hug if I could :) The first year of collage can be really hard, I know it was for me. I moved to a new city where I didn't know anyone and since I can be really shy at times it took me at least a year to feel…
  • WOW! Thats a huge accomplishment. Congrats!
  • Well I drank something, does that count? :p Mystic Mango Synergy Kombucha- love this stuff! I feel so energized after I drink it but not in the jittery/crack way that I get after drinking coffee lol.
  • Chive and butter baked potato, small chili and side salad from Wendy's with an ice tea. I don't know the exact calories that adds up to right now but I had that a while back and I remember being very pleasantly surprised. And I wasn't hungry an hour later like I am when I just get burger and fries. So yummy but you can…
  • Yes, we do anyway. My bf eats enough for three people (I'm not kidding and he doesn't gain weight, he just has a super fast metabolism) but I have food allergies so some of my 'specialty' foods are expensive, I figure it evens out in the end. Even if it doesn't he picks up the slack when we eat out or its time to pay rent.…
  • Mpf has me at 1850 so I'm leaving that as my goal for right now. I am still kind of new to mpf and when I first started my weight loss goal was 2 lbs. per week which only gave me 1600 cals. per day and I was struggling to stay under so I changed my goal to 1 lb. per week and that seems to work well for me. I do eat my…
  • Wow, thanks for sharing! This is totally inspiration for me. I am just starting out and I haven't been loosing as much as I want but I'm starting from a place similar to you and you did it and look great!
  • You look great! Congrats!
  • Hi, I'm sorry you're having problems, you're food diary looks very healthy to me, I wish mine was more like that! :) I'm not really sure you should do, the only thing that comes to mind is maybe adding some dried fruits to your diet like dried figs or prunes. Not a very exciting answer I know but I'm kind of stumped....
  • Corn tortillas and be cheap if you buy the 100 count bags and then leave some out for the week and freeze the rest for later. Rice, beans and tortillas can turn into some really yummy Mexican food for very little money :) Also, try checking around at stores you might not normally shop at. We have a store near-by that has…
  • Great board! There are some great quotes already- the zombie one made me laugh soo hard! Mine is: "Live loves the liver of it" -Maya Angelou People get confused by this quote sometimes (liver doesn't = part of your anatomy in this quote ;). I guess what it means to me is that life is kindest and rewards those who go out…
  • **I tried posting earlier but my server lost connection and it deleted what I had written....whoops. I won't re-type because it pretty similar to what others have been posting lol. I will say though: Good for you for completing the program! Keep up the good work and good luck on your first race :)
  • I think I'll be most comfortable around 160 to 170. I have a pretty athletic build and larger frame so if I go any lower than that I'm afraid I'll look rediculous. Plus, I was 180 in high school, I played all kinds of sports and had just the right amount of curves :p So a bit lower than that and I'll be totally happy.
  • Sorry I forgot to post this yesterday, here are my numbers so far: Week # 1 -- April 2nd -- Goal 360 minutes: Mon: 65 - (60 Yoga, 5 push-ups and crunches) Tue: 37- (20 walking, 7 calisthenics, 10 yoga/meditation) Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total / min left: 102 / 258 Hope everyone is having a good week :)
  • Hi OpenHeaven, Here's a little bit about me: I have been lactose free for four years and gluten free for almost three years. I put myself on this diet after feeling ill and 'off' for many years. I initially suspected dairy because my mom is dairy intolerant and it can be hereditary. After quitting dairy I felt great at…

  • You look great! Awsome job!
  • That's great! And 8 mins is no small thing, I can barely run for three right now lol. So good for you :)
  • Hi! I'm am kind of new on mfp too (I've been on here just over a month I think) and I am constantly going over on my fat, sugar or sodium limits that mfp sets for me. If I eat an apple and a banana in the same day I'm almost always over on sugar (and that's with no candy/desserts, just fruit) so I know how frustrating it…
  • I'm new and I'm in! I'm averaging 275-300 mins a week so this will be my incentive to do more :) Week # 1 -- April 2nd -- Goal 360 minutes: Mon: Tue: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total / min left: 0 / 360
  • Congrats! You can see a difference for sure.
  • International Studies and I'm going back to school to get a second degree in Spanish (it will basically be a double major).
  • I'm struggling with staying under the sodium and fat levels set by mfp too. I have no idea if the levels it sets for you are correct or not but hey, it can't hurt :) I have a few suggestions for foods you can substitute: Maybe try turkey bacon instead of the Hormel bacon bits. I eat Trader Joe's brand turkey bacon…
  • I carry a Nalgene bottle of water with me where ever I go. I drink way more water now then I used to because its right there! I also try to make an effort to bake and cook at home most of the time. It saves so much money to make your own bread, sauces, etc. and allows me to control what I put in my body. I'm lucky enough…
  • Hi, I'm new at this (only been on for 20 days) I don't do weigh in days (mostly because I don't own a scale yet :) but I have been doing cheat days because I fee like its best for my sanity. I've done 5 cheat days so far and I didn't plan them out, a few happened because family was in town and we ate out a bunch and the…
  • Thanks for posting the recipe. I'm looking on Amazon right now for muffin rings. I'm tired of paying $5 for Kinnikinik english muffins at the store. They are good don't get me wrong, but I cry a little inside every time I fork over the money lol.
  • Today I ate a slice of Rudi's Gluten Free Bakery multigrain bread with a whole egg fried using Pam cooking spray. I sprinkle fresh black pepper and a little hawaiian sea salt on top. I also usually have a piece of fruit on the side, today it was an orange. Keeps me full for hours! :)
