Well Stephanie...ur a step ahead of me. I feel kinda' the same way so I sort of sent an email to my surgeon w/some words that helped to get me additional info on what steps I need to take. I've decided on the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG); won't do the Roux-En-Y...too invasive & family members have had problems…

I'm sorry to hear this, but I too can relate. I'm fortunate that my mom is supporting, but the rest of my family...whole diff ball-park! Of course that kind of negativity makes it so much more harder to stay motivated, but use the negative to charge you up especially when your exercising--just might be the fuel that keeps…

Welcome! Girl I'm in the same boat u are...sounds like we have a lot in common--maybe not all so bad though ;D. This is a great forum, & u get alot of support & advise. Try to check in daily, keeps u motivated. Remember, we r in this 2gether!

Thanks for the info...boy can I relate, I've been in 6 car accidents (none my fault) & I have a lot of pain in my back, hips, etc. Don't like to rely in meds, I will take an Advil only when I can't move anymore:smile: . Hi Laura, I'm very new to this...just a few days. I feel ur pain, I've been in physical therapy for a torn meniscus in my r/knee (it's pretty much shot). I attend once a week & am managing on my own to do at least 1-2 more days of walking, elyptical, and/or strength training. I lose then I gain, it's extremely FRUSTRATING.…
