  • I never have, because that is exactly what got me into the mess of obesity later on. Always had to eat, always had to finish what's on my plate, always have to have meals when everyone had meals etc. As long as you don't make it a habit, it's natural to have fluctuating appetite. For instance, some days I am the same, for…
  • Love this so much. Yes, there are people who have medical conditions but apart from the we do essentially work the same. Absolutely fed up of some of the pseudo science or downright damaging advice too. Yes I'm being a grump hence why I was off the forums for months.
  • I'd wait. The upper arm for women especially fluctuates dramatically with weight loss where other areas aren't guarded to changes in weight. Even if you didn't have saggy skin, the placement of the tattoo could move and the lines and colours could be affected with the change in surface area

  • On a sidenote, as someone and a number of people I have trained (depending on the amount needed to lose and how) there is absolutely no problem with losing 2lbs a week. And yes, myself and others have kept it off.
  • I have found that when I plateau, changing the type of exercise I usually do and eat as little refined carbs and less fruit, less starchy veg always help and I break it. unlike most people hear , I've never upped my calls, just changed around types of foods and exercise have done the trick.
  • there is nothing wrong with a 2lb weight loss per week if you are looking to lose 80lbs in total. and yes, like with any amount of weight loss, you'll plateau st some point, but it is sustainable.
  • - Paring back my alcohol consumption - (as cheesy as it sounds) start liking myself - listening to my fiance and stop thinking I am hideous, disgusting troll - stop trying to change things that I can't. - Cleaner diet
  • It's not healthy to eat so little calories, but for the first week of actively cutting calories to speed weight loss, you will lose weight - which you have. Don't forget you're not huge, you aren't going to drop half a stone like those that need or want to, so 0.4 is decent. Again, not healthy to do so and not recommended,…
  • Wednesday morning. Makes me accountable all week long and allows me to be good at work, good at the weekend, but able to have enough time to recuperate, should I go off the rails. Weighing at the weekends is so depressing because in London, Friday and Saturday nights are your nights out really, so I know I'd just fluctuate…
  • ****goes to look up kumquats**** wth?!?
  • When I was 250lbs, I didn't until I lost about 100lbs. After that I would eat back only half at the most or until i was either maintaining or doing events. I know do marathons, triathlons and mountain climbing and compete in a number of other events where you'd have to eat back your calories to remain fit and strong. But…
  • One of the most positive and healthy attitudes in a thread before for women tht do strength training and weightloss with exercise
  • It does sound somewhat psychological and i say that ony because i have gone through the same thing and no matter how much i lost, i was always convinced tht i was huge, fat and needed "to do better." I'm the same height and when I have always been "heavier" than people my size. For instance, one of my pics on my profile, I…
  • I cannot thank you enough for this thread.....it is exactly what I've needed after a miserable week and start hating on myself
  • its not a "crappy gym" it's called New Years Resolutionists in January! OP- I really love that post. so trueand completely agree.
  • I would say while it is possible to diet without exercise, you should integrate some form of exercise. unless you have no time whatsoever, it promotes a healthier life, speed up weight loss and honestly, it energised you, makes you feel better about yourself and your body is a lot more sculpted. also we are built to do…
  • yes it is, I lost about 100lbs in about 6 months, I've kept it off ever since. however I did exercise though, starting off just walking and then built up.I have tight skin, no cellulite ....
  • you won't get ' fit and toned' exercising and eating that amount as all you'll do is induce muscle wastage
  • Wednesday mornings... keeps you on track while work at work and stops me drinking much after work, while also allowing me to undo damage if the weekend has been a heavy one!!!
  • I think that's why I never take a compliment or believe anyone or in fact know why I "really" look like. When I was obese and thoroughly in denial, I was apparently "absolutely fine". My chaffed thighs and stretch marks said otherwise!!!!
  • This this this! Exactly the same! Even though I was still twice the size as them, the "you're too skinny." Right. Ok.
  • Even when I was 250lbs, everyone, well mostly thin, skinny girls or all my friends who were about the quarter of my size would say, "you don't need to lose weight" , "you look fine", "you're just big boned"... Understand your pain
  • The only time that happened to me was when i was being stupid and exercising excessively and not eating very much and starting losing my hair ....
  • cycling is incredible for it
  • I recognise you from the Weight Watcher forum boards a few years ago. You're the number one inspiration on there! x
  • Whether this is true or not, I cannot say. But I have been told by a number of personal trainers that it can take a week for a big change in diet (whether a lot more or less) to be truly reflected on the scale.
  • and skinny jeans ....
  • I've never had a problem with my bum and I have rather narrow hips and am hour glass, but I always think that my thighs look huge, thunderous even and really unattractive. I never vocalise it though, because I always want slender thighs (and I remember at school most girls would comment how mine didn't have a gap and…
  • Set 200lbs as a mini goal and then once you get there (and you will with determination) about more mini goals after that. I was 250lbs BUT I was always heavier on the scales. I have never been "thin" and I always have a stocky, wider frame, even with dramatic weight loss. BUT 200lbs is still significantly heavy for any…
