I went to the gym religiously 5 days a week for 35 min of cardio...I ate a low carb, high protein diet of about 1200 calories a day, and I got a b12 shot every week. I'm still doing all of the above so I hope the results continue to show. :) Thanks y'all!

Amen and amen. I for one LOVE the lemon pepper version of the HF chicken breasts...perfect for my lunch bag...which sometimes I even bother to recycle. ;)

Excerpt from a Psychology Today article... "Carbohydrates are the classic feel-good food. Carbohydrate-rich foods enable the mood-enhancing amino acid tryptophan to enter the brain, where it's used to produce the neurotransmitter serotonin. However, if you eat carbohydrates that produce a short surge of glucose in your…

My three sons are Andre Michael, Jason Patrick, and Brian Clayton. Pretty general and tame, and each one is the only one in their class with their particular name. Our school district is about 80% economically disadvantaged, and studies show that in many cases, children born to parents in a low socioeconomic area have more…

My 4 year old great-niece and my sister were changing clothes in the same room one day and the sweet little tot asked my sister, "Nanny, when I get big like you, will my boobies be as long as yours?" Not as big, but as LONG. LOL!!! I thought she would die.

I could write a book...I've been in education for 16 years so I've had quite a few "moments." One memorable one was back probably about 10 years ago and I was doing some career exploration work with a 7th grade group, and a young lady in the class told us all that her career aspiration was to be a "pole dancer."

I'm 42 and my husband is 49. I laugh at his 70's music and he laughs at the fact that I was in 6th grade when John Lennon was shot...and that was his senior year of high school. ;)

My boss was doing this for a while earlier this school year...that is, until she started having four to six week long periods. She stopped. She said that though it might have worked for other folks, HCG just wasn't really for her. That DEFINITELY wouldn't be for me. Ew.

1. I woke up. Thanks, God! 2. I got to the gym before "Overall Man" and "Miss Cutie Pie" could get the elliptical bike I like best. ;) 3. I have 30 peaceful minutes of bliss before I wake up Things 1, 2, and 3 for school.

The plan my doctor has me following starts at a base of 1000 calories per day. I exercise 5 days a week (mostly cardio right now) and burn about 400-500 per day, and I am to eat back about half of those calories. I drink a lot of water. The foods I eat are (ideally) lean proteins, lots of green veggies, and a limited…

I've shaved some time off of household chores...since my boys are older (12, 13, and 18) I have a rule at the house about laundry...if it does not find its way into the laundry room, it doesn't get washed (by me, anyway). My 18 year old does his own and has for a couple of years now, but the other two I'm not sure I'd…

I've lost 40 pounds in 11 weeks following a basic low carb, high protein diet of 1200-ish calories a day and 5-6 days of exercise a week. Something is working. I think there is a lot of truth in the concept that processed carbs contribute to weight gain...and that all calories are not created equal. I guess as long as you…
