I agree, don't deprive yourself of something then you really can't focus on anything but that. Fit it into your calories and add a little to your workout. Everything in moderation and accounted for.

Instead of taking a break and saying you'll get back on track tomorrow, how about doing it the opposite way? Get back on track today and then tell yourself you'll take a break in 3 days or in 5 days and then when that day gets here if you feel good make it another 3 days or 5 days. Put off til tomorrow the non productive…

I would love more friends in MFP but I have no idea how to add people ~~~~~~

I went through hot flashes in my mid 40's. A few things that really helped - I kept a bean bag type ice pack in freezer and would put at base of my neck. Drink lots of ice water to cool down body core temperature. Limited my caffeine and alcohol intake considerably. I would wear tank top and shorts to bed even in the…

I don't have insomnia but I do find I need less sleep as I've gotten older. If I have trouble falling asleep it's usually because I didn't physically do enough to get me tired or if I've taken any sinus medicine late in the day. Sometimes too much tv or electronics gets the brain going and it's hard to make it slow down…

Just found the over 50 group. Nice to have other ladies with the same journey to share struggles and accomplishments with.

I love tea at night time. Stay positive ladies and make small changes - one at a time and it gets a little easier each day.

Hello everyone. Over 50 and ready to get back in shape. Put it aside for couple years and of course the weight has crept up and now I need to lose about 35 pounds. Ready to add new friends and get serious. Add me if anyone needs more friends

Mine said the same for last few years and I truly believe him. He loves me just the way I am, so I only half heartedly focused on losing weight and getting healthy. But couple months ago he had a health scare and now in the last few weeks he has started to hint that he wants to eat better too and exercise. He started going…

Wow! Good for you. It's hard to put ourselves first sometimes but keep going!!

We're all going to have days like that. Just hold yourself accountable. Log every bite and get back on track today. I don't believe in denying things, If you want ice cream - have a small instead of large. Jack in the box for dinner, that's fine, do extra 20 or 30 minutes on workout. We have to learn to forgive ourselves…

Last year my daughter became gluten free. It was difficult to do all our Christmas cookies, but went on Pinterest and type in 'gluten free cookies' and found quite a few that were really good.

Logging into MFP is a great start. You will find many inspirational stories that show you it is possible and will find a great deal of people who will help cheer you on your path. Believe in yourself and you will get there.

July is a very long ways away. Slow and steady. Believe in yourself. 122 is on the low end even for 5'3". Give yourself a healthy range. And remember it's not always about the number on the scale. If you are healthy and happy you will shine bright from the inside and then the number on the scale won't matter.

See a nutritionist. There is a blood test (MRT - Mediator Release Test) they can do that will tell you everything you have ever eaten and how it reacts with your body chemistry. Could be a spice or something that simple that is giving you problems.

I have the same problem, started a few years back. I found they have to be completely ripe, no green on them at all and I can eat about 1/2 banana on bowl of cereal. But can't eat on their own anymore.
