Mmm... I dunno. I have a sedentary office job, and many nights before MFP I would just crash on the couch. If I'm worn out at the end of the day, I make myself get up and do SOMETHING, even if it's scrubbing the kitchen down or vacuuming, and I count that as activity. If I'm honest with myself, we don't do a lot of…

Good morning! I'm down one pound for today's weigh-in, which is awesome cuz yesterday I was feeling bloated and crappy and thought for sure the weight was creeping back on. But I drank a TON of water, and today feel great! I gotta remember to always have water at my desk during the day....

hahahaha - +1 to both of you. Although the paleo diet may work well for some simply because of moving away from refined crap (always a good thing), it is based on very, very bad science.

Back on track this week - went a bit off the rails last Friday / Saturday. Haven't been brave enough to get back on the scale yet - want to get a few good workouts in first. :D

So sad. Yes, you probably CAN lose weight, but you SHOULD NOT. You are already underweight, and there is no possible way to lose more weight in a "healthy" way. Please - talk to a professional and get some help.

Holding steady this week - nothing lost, nothing gained. Given that I was sick a few days and unable to exercise, I'll take that.

I'm working hard on trying to live 'normally' while losing weight this time around. I don't want to fall back into the deprivation / binge cycle. Some things are working - after a month - it no longer feels 'normal' to go do the deli for a snack of chips and banana bread, because I have fruit and/or yogurt from home. Baby…

Agh - just lost my post. grumble. To sum up - I'm still here from the January thread - aiming for 145 by summer. Because of a "punk" phase in college, I was asked one day (on the way to class) to pose for photos with a group of visiting Japanese kids. So somewhere in Japan there are "visit to Canada" albums with me in my…

((((( hugs )))))) I'm sorry you're going through this. I can only imagine how painful it is to physically not 'fit in' with the rest of the people around you. Can you tell us a little about why you joined up here on MFP and what your goals are? Your mention of Whistler leads me to believe you're around Vancouver, where I…

I just tried this for the first time this week! Gonna keep it up - but it will be a while until I can move past level 1 - I can't even do all the stuff the "Beginner" girl does. But my whole body was sore - head to toe- in a good way for the next two days, so it sure is a total body workout!
-
+1 to that! Also, are you measuring? Last week I was bummed when I was up a couple pounds, but when I measured myself I was actually smaller. I think the time of the month and salt intake were really screwing with my scale reading.
-
Friday weigh-in! I'm at 157 pounds this morning, down three pounds from last week! So last week's plus two pounds must have been water weight - phew!
-
Can you have them taken in? My dry-cleaner has a lady who does tailoring / alterations for a very reasonable price. Congrats on your progress!

Morning everyone! So this morning I got out the tape measure, and I've lost an inch off my waist! So what if the scale isn't cooperating - I'm wearing pants today that were uncomfortably tight the last time I put them on! My weigh in and goal aren't on the list - I'm currently 160, aiming to get down to 145 by summer. Yay…

Kept (mostly) on track this weekend. Why is it that weekends are so much more tempting than weekdays? Andrea, I use Wii Fit Plus, which tracks my weight. It's more precise than my old analog scale, anyway. I'm hoping it's just water weight too. :D Anyway, it's not if we fall down, it's how we pick ourselves up, right?
-
Argh - so I weighed in this morning on the Wii - and I've gained two pounds! Back up to 160. I've been on track with my food this week, so I hope this is just a water weirdness or something. Still, not what I was looking for. :grumble:

Wow - family can be negative sometimes. I believe you can do it - I'll bet you'll knock their socks off in the summer!
-
OOff - feeling like I need a little motivation this morning - I was so exhausted yesterday that I went to bed right after dinner and skipped my workout. Going to try to squeeze one in to my busy day today....

My current weight is 158 lbs. I want to get down to 145 by summer (13 pound lost) I agree with June 21st - we can do it!!
-
That's exactly how I feel! The last time I lost a bunch of weight, I was SO HUNGRY all the time. Watching the clock, waiting for my next meal... it's no way to live. So when I went back to my old eating habits I thought that I might never be that lean again, because dieting that way is not worth it. This time I've set my…

Hm... what do I like about myself.... I am resilient and well-grounded. Also kind of stubborn, but I like to look at it as "determined". :D

Hi! Another Kim here. :D I'm 34, and work a sedentary job in software. Last year I bought myself a bikini to wear, but did NOT feel comfortable in it. I'd like to get down to bikini-comfort-weight by the time the warm weather rolls around. Also, a good friend is getting married in August, and it would be fun to buy a cute…

I agree with so many here... and I have caught myself saying a few..... :blushing:

I'm here trying to lose those nagging extra pounds, after having successfully gotten down to my 'fighting weight' in 2006. That time, I was using a different program that allowed me 1300 calories per day - which worked out to between 1.5 and 2 pounds lost per week. It was HARD, I felt really deprived, and I went back to my…
