Hello If you do a search you'll find loads of pictures - they were the main reason why I decided to try it. I've been doing level 1 but it's on youtube so you can try it out for free. I've got the DVD from the library so I'll do the rest of it that way. You only need some weights - I made my own from bottles of water, and…

Nope, I take that back - olives haven't got much protein at all...

I used to get graze boxes, but they do work out quite expensive. Now I just go for them every now and then when I can find a free code...heh. Today I've got green olives with garlic for snacks. Yum, good fats and quite high in protein I think? Or did I just dream that? What I'm planning on doing is getting those packs of…

I know, I never thought I'd get to the point where I felt guilty either! I've done my neck in a bit, so even though I stupidly went for a run and then a three-hour walk the next day (the wind probably didn't help with my neck), I've forced myself to take the last three days off. It's starting to feel better now, and I've…

Brilliant. I think it's safe to say that the OP is a d*ck. Oh no, now I'm going to be accused of being uninteresting, boring, having no life....ah well. I'd rather be remotely intelligent and tolerant of other people.

Thank you all :flowerforyou:

I've got homemade dahl with homemade pitta breads. Yum yum. And the dahl is really low in fat! In fact, I might post the recipe...

When I checked the calories ranged so much though, that I really wasn't sure what to put them as. I'm sure one portion doesn't have 950 calories!

Thanks for that. Yeah I'll just have to weight them and see what the database has. I don't generally add chili or stuff like that since it's a vegetable and as far as calories goes....oh well. What throws me is the fact that I seem to remember that they're first deep-fried, then fried again with the onion and garlic - or…

I've only used mine a handful of times so far but it seems pretty good! I agree that the set-up is a bit tricky because it is very hard to read. But once I set it up it's easy to use - I've not used any functions other than the stopwatch/calorie count as yet, so that's all my feedback is based on. Used the free40 code for…

I use the patch (Evra) and it's absolutely brilliant. You only change it once a week so not as much to remember as with the pill, it's low-level hormones (not sure about the makeup so you'd have to look that up) and hasn't given me any side effects whatsoever. Doctors here in the UK tend not to suggest it as it's more…

I'd probably head to Holland & Barret rather than Boots - I think those shakes may have been in the 'diet' section, and I don't think Boots actually stock proper protein shakes (I may be wrong though). Holland & Barret stock loads of them. Emily

Agreed! "Low-fat, low-cal" does not sound like a treat to me....

A tablespoon is a measurement, just like a cup. Get some measuring spoons.

I can't think of food in that way, I enjoy it too much. I work with a girl who will regularly have a pouch of Uncle Ben's microwave rice mixed with a tin of tuna or salmon, because "it keeps her full all day". I couldn't do that, it'd be too dull.

WOW!!

Or you should just let people lose weight the way they choose to. If they can fit it into their calorie allowance and their lifestyle three times a week, then let them. It doesn't affect you.

I've just ordered one of these (the free delivery code still works but the other one seems to have expired) - I will come back with an update when I've used it a few times.

I don't count cooking (mainly because my kitchen is really small) but I definitely count hoovering - I have a cat that moults a lot, and the carpet in my flat is hardwearing and therefore holds onto stuff, so when I hoover, I REALLY break a sweat since I have to push down and go over the same spot over and over. Last time…

Bumpety-bump bump

Bump to do this properly over the weekend.

I have the same where after I've eaten (or drunk!) a lot, the next day my stomach always looks really flat, and my waist looks smaller. It's very strange. I'm sure it evens itself out later on though, unfortunately.

This is my boyfriend's recipe - it's really tasty and doesn't feel like it's healthy at all. I've just copied the ingredients from my recipe folder so obviously substitute with things you can get. Serves 4 Beans - Kidney, canned, 240 g Garlic Clove, 6 Medium Clove (4g) Knorr Beef Stock Cube, 1 cube Tesco Healthy Living -…

I have the Fage 0% stuff with raspberries, agave nectar and homemade muesli. Yum!
-
Oh god I am so making this at some point. Maybe this weekend. It looks AMAZING.

Thanks for that, I've amended my goals now as my carbs were at 65% which seemed a bit high. I'll see how I get on with this!
-
Can I just ask, those of you who have changed your macros - what do you base this one? My macros seem very carb-heavy but I don't know much about how to distribute them so they may well be healthy.

To be fair, I don't think that sounds particularly sympathetic. Did he ever tell you this before you decided to lose weight? If not, then how were you to know?? And I agree, not loving someone because of that isn't particularly nice. Sorry to put down someone you love...

Ooh, I didn't know the first level is on Youtube! I've been thinking of trying this but have heard really disparate results, so this will be a good way of trying before I buy (or not buy!).

Thanks for all your replies. Maybe I should get the dvd and watch it to see what the exercises are and then make my purchases based on that??
