  • I'm 6'1", have long legs, and I'm a size 12. A lot of my jeans are from GAP(buy online for long and X-long inseams). My dress pants are from GAP as well, and are so long that I have to wear tall heels with them - they are REALLY long. Also there is a store called Vanity that also has a website (evanity.com) that has cute…
  • Vanity (evanity.com), and the Buckle (Big Stars are my favorite). GAP too. I'm 6'1" and need a 37" inseam too, these are my favorites.
  • Everyone is going to be different - go to a show store and get fitted. It's the only way to get in a shoe that is properly suited for you specific needs.
  • holy cow you ladies need to eat more! lol. personally I think mfp really underestimates how much a person needs to eat to lose weight at a healthy rate and keep it off forever. I eat body weight x 11, 12 or 13 depending on my activity level that day. Here's a website that kind of lays it out.…
  • Pic on the left was in 1997 at my high school graduation party. I was probably about 310 pounds at that point (I'm 6'1") and a size 24. Pic on the right was a few weeks ago. I'm 199lbs, a size 12. I've keep 100 of the pounds off for the most part for over a decade (with exception to a short relapse about 7 years ago when I…
  • I just want to chime in and tell you that you can TOTALLY do this. :) From the sounds of all of the health issues you are having, you know you need to do this. It's not an option anymore. Believe in yourself, and know that you are worth it, and you deserve to live a long, happy and healthy life. :) I am 6'1" and used to…
  • I'm a size 12. I'm 6'1 - yes, you read that right. 73" I weigh 199. If anyone thinks that's "fat" that's fine by me. I feel great. I'm strong, I'm fit, I have endurance for DAYS.
  • I'm 6'1". Used to weight 310 pounds (over 10 years ago), and I'm down to 203 right now (been maintaining at this weight for about 4 years). I'd like to lose another 10-15 maybe, but I'm pretty happy with where I am right now. Would be nice to get into the 100's though! :) I wear a size 11 shoe, 12 pants, and M/L top.
  • The best advice I have for you is to have FUN!!!!!!!! This is the only 5K you'll ever run with no "time to beat". It's going to automatically be your PR, so enjoy it, embrace it, and have a good time! My first race was a turjey trot on Thanksgiving Day 2007 (or 2008, lol). It was an off road dirt trail overlooking Lake…
  • Lol-yes. constantly. I'm a 'big' (and quite FIT) girl at 6'1" and over 200 lbs. I get it. That said, I think i SHOULD be able to lift more than an "average" girl. I was doing deadlifts with a 110 lb barbell the other day at the gym and I thought this old man was going to fall out of his sneakers!
  • Grat job, you look beautiful!
  • I'm 6'1", with a large frame and muscular build. My highest weight was about 310 lbs about 15 years ago when I was 17. I've spent most of my life around 220 and felt comfortable, ran half marathons and triathlons, etc. My lowest weight was 204, right before I got pregnant 1.5 years ago. I'm 221 right now and would like to…
  • I'm 6'1" and my proper jean size is probably a 16ish right now. I have about 12-15 lbs to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight when 14's were comfortable. A 14 is the smallest I've evebeen as an adult, including when I was competing in triathlons and ran a half marathon a couple years ago. I'm very pear shaped.
  • It's really different for every person. Depends a lot on how heavy you are lifting (do you max out at 6-8 reps or are you still going at 12-15). What's you bodyfat % like? The higher fat percentage you have, the longer it's takes to actually see definiteion in your muscles. For me, once I got back to really lifting after I…
  • I just read the article regarding this segment, and for the one mom imparticular that used pubilc embarassment to 'encourage" her 7 year old daughter to get skinny - she should be ashamed of herself. And now that the daughter is 2 inches taller, and 16 lbs lighter, the mom wants to basically forget that the shorter,…
  • My tallest ones I wear regularly are about 4", making me 6'5".
  • Jeans from The Buckle or evanity.com (the brick and mortar store is called Vanity, but they don't have stores here in the west, just in Middle America). Dress pants from NY & Company.
  • I'm 6'1". I was down to about 205 right before I got pregnant and looked and felt fantastic. I'm 229 now, and hoping to lose another 20ish pounds. Charts say I should be 180 something, but I've never been under 200 as an adult.
  • I'm 6'1". I used to love wearing heels!! Then I feel in love with a man that is 5'9" so the heels don't come out of the closet very often any more, lol.
