I recently got a Fitbit. I went with the cheap version because Im like you...I just wanted to see the calories burned. I love the fact that I can sync it with mfp and I do not have to do anything. It really helped give me a much better idea of how much I moved and how many calories I actually burned.

You have done the hardest thing already...admitting that you are overweight and ready to get at it. This site is a wonderful tool to help on your weight loss journey. It has a lot of good information and a ton of great supportive people. Good luck and feel free to add me if you need some support.

Exactly! To each their own...hey they are all trying to get healthier...why judge each others way of doing it? If you don't like a particular gym or the people it attracts, don't go there. I agree that it can be intimidating going to the gym but I go for me not for anyone else. We are all in this together...cant we all…

When you are eating out and they take forever to order because as they read every item on the menu, they say, I cant have that...Im dieting. UGH!!!

Make meals ahead of time and freeze them. That way when you come home...pop it in and ready in a bit. You can also portion size for one person. Just a suggestion.
