I am a long time member. I miss the personal blogs and the feeds showing friends status and posts but realized I can post updates here. Also my About Me has disappeared and yet it says not much happening here. Well that is because it has been deleted. So to start off I just retired and my 1st goal is to get healthier and fitter than I was able to get working fulltime. I have lost about 5 lbs, I had really gotten weak. Today I walked 30 minutes and I have been getting in more NEAT. I find it isn't so much how much I eat but what I eat that helps me and exercise helps too.

  • Got down to 241.8 today so on my way down I hope. The bad news is that I really injured my left leg camping. It is getting worse not better so to the Drs next week. I can't exercise for now. So I too will concentrate on diet to lose. @CupcakeCrusoe nice progress with weight and organizing! We plan to go through boxes today…
  • A small update - this morning I lost most of the trip weight. I am back to my typical 243 Lbs. Now to get into the 230s. I will do upper body weight training since my left leg is unhappy.
  • I just got back from our trip for my grandson's birthday. It was wonderful to be able to be there finally for a birthday. My DIL teared up when we were leaving and that got me teary too. I have been trying to let her know how much we love her. We had a good talk on this trip. So I feel like the message got through. I can't…

  • I just wanted to stop in and update and get updates on how we all are doing. I haven’t lost any more but I am staying low. I am hoping to stay below my usual 243 and get down to the 230s. Today I at 242. I am stopping eating earlier in the evening and delaying breakfast so that there is at least 12 hours of fasting…

  • Although I haven't gone lower than on the 22nd I am seeing some low weights since then. I had been staying at 263.4 for the last months in general. I was pleased to see 231.6 this morning. I am really trying hard to get in the 230s very soon. We are prepping for a small camping trip with my family. @anneliz35 Glad you are…
  • As usual I went up after I lost big earlier in the week. But I am coming back down again slower so that I am at 242.8 today which is still lower than my usual 243.4. If I eat under 1700 (I range between 1400-1700 generally) I tend to lose. I think the exercise keeps the loss being fat not muscle. I am trying to eat more…

  • My husband and I went to a Tulip Street fair and drove to see the tulip fields so we found a fun way of getting exercise. On the way home we went to a cafe next to a food co-op that has healthy food. Had a healthy dinner. Tonight I am going to my sisters for game night. My husband is too busy to come with but my brother…
  • @pamperedlinny N (my youngest adult child) is cosplaying all weekend. There is an Anime/Manga convention this weekend. I am going to the Tulip festival with my husband mostly to get some stoneware by a small company that has a booth there. Enjoy the time at the beach. I love the beach. My son and his family is moving close…
  • Some progress to report. Although my scale settled on the same weight as yesterday 244.2 it was taking a while to settle showing 243.? etc. My assumption is that my weight was lower but not .2 lower and my scale only shows increments of .2. So I think I am probably 244.1. This small amount doesn't mean a lot it would seem…

  • @sharon81 I really identify with your hard holidays. I would get off what I gained in January and February and then gain it back. I have been fighting it all this year. Nice to see you back. @pamperedinny It sounds like you are making progress healthwise. This is why my husband hasn’t retired yet. He gets really good…
