Yes that's true. I was thinking of my own experience since anytime I travel it's for a client, which means they pay for my expenses. So, I buy water right after security. :)

Went well! Another day hitting my calorie goal. Tomorrow is the last day of fasting for Ramadan. I'm both happy and sad. Happy that I don't have to force all my food into a small window. Sad because that small window allowed me to get away with eating half my daily calories in snacks and IceCream.

- bag of almonds/any nut with dried fruit - protien bar/kind bar/whatever bar you like - sabra hummus to go - water. Water. Water. - light sandwich Those are usually my go to when traveling.

While this is the true definition of breakfast, I don't believe society holds it to this definition. It's like an unspoken acknowledgement that breakfast has the definition of "A meal eaten in the morning." Be annoyed or not..this is what the majority of society thinks.

I wish I could get more vegetables in but it's so much food for little calories (a good thing when not fasting). You can always add some olive oil to bump it to around 140. Avocado is about 250. I still have some junk food, but not in large amounts. A few crackers and maybe a couple of chocolates. It helps that I'm so full…

I make sure to get in something heavy in calories but also very nutritious (Hitting all my nutrient needs). Here is one very satisfying "junk" snack: chips and salsa. I have one or two servings of the tortilla chips and I pile a good spoon full of salsa per chip. I end up having the whole jar of salsa without sacrificing much calories.

I don't really make an attempt to tell anyone. However, I eat mostly at work so I ended up brining my food scale with me. People saw me in the kitchen with it and well I ended up explaining. And of course I told those in my household because they also see me weighing foods. Anyone else, nah.

I keep almonds at my desk. cheese, yogurt, almond milk in the office fridge. Popcorn is a good one. I also drink a good amount of coffee to keep my snacking at bay.

As an above poster mentioned, having proteins and fats for breakfast keep me really satisfied and off of junk food. If I eat carbs for breakfast I am barely satisfied and get overly hungry sooner.

You can lose weight on prednisone. You just need willpower. Any weight gained from medication alone is due to water weight. Keep yourself hydrated. As for hunger.. try sticking to proteins and fats. I've taken the medication before, long enough to get moonface ,so I understand your frustration

Yup. This. I do monthly weigh ins because I obsess too much and end up quitting if I don't see what I like immediately.

I was about to say the same thing. I've been on the mediterranean diet since I was born. It includes a good amount of vitamins and good fats. However, like anything, it matters calorie wise how much you eat even if it is healthy. If that was not the case, I would be skinny right now.

I just found out about weight gain during ovulation. As if going through period weight gain wasn't enough. It's almost like we only have one week during the month we can weigh ourselves perfectly. I don't freak out at the numbers as much as I used to but it still puts a damper on my day lol.

I wish I could weigh everyday and not let it get to me. I would love to see the trends but I can't handle it.

I got used to being a little hungry at the end of the day.. With a bunch of protein and fat it is much much more bearable.
