My biggest sacrifice has been my TV time. And by that I mean "sitting on the couch watching TV stuffing my face" time. Do I miss it? Not one bit!!! I am amazed sometimes how I could always manage to find something to watch on TV, but complain at the same time that nothing good was on TV. And I would always say things like…

This exactly!!!!

That's a fantastic idea. I usually bypass the bagged stuff because I always feel like I am paying extra for the packaging. But perhaps I would be paying extra for the convenience, and that makes it worth it.

My biggest struggle has been eliminating processed foods and replacing them with fresh, natural foods. If it requires any sort of work to prepare (yes, even as simple as washing off or cutting up something like broccoli), I will skip over it and will reach for the prepackaged food that is high in carbs and unhealthy…

My friends have all been very supportive. I have one friend who speaks before she thinks and can be somewhat mean, but she lives pretty far away and I don't see her that often. So when she does see me, she's surprised at how much I've lost. And I've found that with most of my friends, I let them bring up the topic of…

Topic for today is: If you could manipulate one part of your body to be the way you wanted it to be....what body part/muscle group would it be and why? My right shoulder. Throwing shotput in high school did a number on my shoulder. I can't rotate it without it clicking, popping, and causing minor pain. But it's not bad…

This week has been a struggle! My mood has been horrible this week, and so I've let the little things get to me. And because I spent all that time stewing, I didn't spend that time working out, which put me in an even worse mood. So the above is my low for the week. My high for the week is that people at work are coming to…

I think I would have to go with Tatyana Ali. She's 5'4" as well, and looks very strong.

I have the most amazing support system at home. My hubby joined me on this journey until he reached his goal weight. He's been struggling to find his motivation to keep going, but he still pushes me to keep going. And he hasn't gotten into the mindset of reintroducing crap into our diets now that he's reached his goals. We…

Nutella! Yummmmmmmmmmm!

I had a very similar week, with a 1-pound gain! Ugh! I've been really debating whether I should weight myself every week. I've been so focused on the scale lately and have begun obsessing. In the past, that's when I generally start falling off the wagon. Any thoughts on not weighing in for a couple of weeks? And I am also…

Lifting weights is a good boost for your metabolism. If you aren't incorporating any sort of weight training, I would highly recommend doing so. Even if you're just doing pushups, squats and lunges, the benefits would be great.

Lows of the week: I had a super busy day and night yesterday and had to get a desperation dinner at 8 PM and went through the drive thru at Mc Donald's and got a McChicken Sandwich. This was a sandwich I used to get A LOT seven months ago. Bleh! It had no flavor! Highs of the week: Because of the above, I have solidified…

Best of luck! You'll be able to create a video a year from now and have that as a reminder to yourself of where you started.

Your face is a lot slimmer. Keep up the great work!

You're right... this is a deep question. At my heaviest, I felt horrible. All throughout college and early in my career, I felt unstoppable. I am generally an introvert but I consistently made eye contact with people when speaking with them, I carried myself with confidence (shoulders back, head held high, felt confident…

What type of work do you do? Do you have a desk job? Are you on your feet? The Washington Post recently had a great article about getting in some physical activity while at work. The link to the article is here... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/health/workout-at-work/ I should've added that I if you don't…

I will really enjoy watching this season! His smile is infectious. My husband asked me why I was grinning ear to ear at the end of hte episode. He looked at the TV and then said "Oh Lord."

I was 200 in March 2011 and am 5'5" and looking to get to 140 pounds. Add me if you need support from someone who started off where you are.

The biggest thing I have learned is patience. Previous attempts to lose weight resulted in my being frustrated after not losing a ton of weight after one month of changing my habits or taking some pill that I thought would magically make the fat disappear. I was so impatient with my body and wanted IMMEDIATE results. I…

Shadow boxing on a balance ball. Works your core and if you go hard enough, you'll work up a pretty good sweat.

My starting weight is 170.8. I've been trying to lose that final pound to get me down below 170 for the last three weeks and it has refused to budge. This challenge should be the kick in the rear that I need to get things moving again! As for my workout schedule, my goal is to fit the following in this week: Monday: P90X…

I say paint it. Paint is the cheapest and quickest way to change the feel of a space. Make it a place you feel productive in now while you are using it as an office.

2 weeks is what the book says. Oh. And I am currently doing an Insanity-based Insanity and P90X hybrid. LOVE IT!!!! The cardio is MUCH better in Insanity and my fitness level has definitely been kicked up a notch!

I am doing a P90x/Insanity hybrid right now. It's fantastic!!! I'll email you the program. It's Insanity based, so it's only 60 days, but I know there are a ton of 90-day versions out there as well.
