Let your clothes be your guide, not the scale. Buy a target outfit one size below what you are wearing now and try it on once a week instead of stepping on the scale. It's a lot more motivating as you find the outfit starts to fit. There are so many reasons why the scale isn't moving but the size and fit of a new outfit…

I agree. You will likely lose muscle which is not what you want to do. Besides, the cardio not only burns fat, it gets the heart going which is good for overall health. Even 20 minutes of walking a day is considered exercise so get out there!

That's true. Cardio seems to help me. Unfortunately, the feeling only lasts about an hour, then the need to stuff my face surfaces all over again.

That's my problem as well. I know how you feel!

Have not decided yet (what am I waiting for?) but you are all giving me good ideas! Chocolate sounds like a good one.

Good for you! You must feel amazing - what an accomplishment.

Consider me a friend. Looking for real friends and supporters, not those that gloat when I don't lose and they do. Let's inspire each other. I did it once and can do it again.

Hi, I'm new to this as well. Been struggling with my weight for years - managed to lose 60 pounds over three years ago but gained 40 back - stress and love of any food, but mostly snacks, was the cause. I'm looking for support as I know we can all do it. Good luck to you.
